In the final postscript to Indiana’s championship season, the Hoosiers unsurprisingly finished No. 1 in the LBM Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings in the United States. Indiana became the first team in the sport’s modern era to go 16-0 and receive all 62 of the top votes. Runner-up Miami (Florida) finished the season in second place after an unexpected turn of events in the playoffs.

Semifinalists Mississippi State and Oregon State took the next two spots, with Ole Miss’ third place being its highest ranking since Oct. 19, 2015. Georgia narrowly edged out Ohio State for fifth place. Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Alabama and Oklahoma State rounded out the top 10.
