Dakota Johnson goes topless for Calvin Klein’s new campaign

Dakota Johnson knows a thing or two about sex appeal.

The award-winning actress and “Fifty Shades of Grey” star is seen naked in front of the cameras once again as the star of Calvin Klein’s spring campaign, in new photos released on Monday, March 9.

The campaign, directed and photographed by Gordon von Steiner, included several revealing shots of Johnson, 36, on a “relaxing day at home,” with an aesthetic intended to showcase the iconic fashion house’s “sophisticated, less-is-more philosophy of confidence and sensuality.”

“The images and videos oscillate between subtle sensuality and cheeky humor, stripping away the excess and highlighting Calvin Klein’s latest denim fits and underwear innovations,” according to a Calvin Klein press release. “At the heart of this story is a clear vision of living with confidence.”

Johnson poses topless in several campaign photos, including one in which she leans against a pool table and another in blue jeans while perched on top of a piano.

“Calvin Klein jeans and underwear have a timeless quality that makes everything feel right the moment you put them on,” Johnson said in a statement. “When a woman is alone at home working, reading, or doing something, it feels very liberating and sensual.”

Another photo from the sultry campaign shows the “Materialist” star lounging on a pool chair wearing a black Calvin Klein bra.

For Johnson, photography that incorporates sexuality “felt unique and classic.”

“I love that this campaign celebrates being comfortable, free and sexy in your own skin,” Johnson concluded. “Sometimes women are the sexiest just by existing.”

In an interview with Elle magazine published Monday, Johnson opened up about his collaboration with Calvin Klein.

“Working with Calvin at this point feels very symbiotic with the current situation in my life,” Johnson told the magazine. “I feel very calm and centered as a woman. I feel very comfortable in my body because I spend a lot of time at home.

“Doing a denim and underwear campaign with a tone of very relaxed sensuality felt like it was kind of true to where I am right now.”

When it comes to fashion that makes you feel good when it comes to dressing the role, Johnson said, “The sexiest clothing items are the ones that make you feel good about your body.”

“When you feel good in your clothes, it changes your energy and your body,” Johnson said. “Sometimes wearing a big ratty T-shirt is the sexiest thing in the world. Sometimes wearing lacy lingerie makes you feel like a trash can. For me, it all comes down to how something makes me feel.”

Johnson’s Calvin Klein campaign, which included a cheeky video ad, was praised on social media, with many fans likening it to Johnson’s breakout role in Fifty Shades of Grey.
