Dinner this weekend is at Chipotle, but only for lovers of tacky Christmas sweaters.

December has been all about giveaways for the Newport Beach, Calif.-based restaurant chain, which has given away three separate free meals.

In recent weeks, customers have been able to earn a free entree or burrito with their purchase on Chipotle’s Taco BOGO Day and Burrito BOGO Day. Chipotle also gives Rewards members special treats each month, like free chips and double protein.

The series of “Unwrap Extras” holiday promotions concludes with “Extra Sweater Day” on Saturday, December 20th. This is the day customers get a chance to wear their most “extra” holiday sweater and redeem it for the last BOGO offer of the season. With BOGO, customers receive a free entree with the purchase of an entree.

“In conjunction with National Ugly Sweater Day on Friday, Dec. 19, Chipotle will host ‘Extra Sweater Day,’ giving fans an extra day to show off their festive and fancy sweaters – store-bought, homemade and recycled – and score BOGO offers at restaurants,” the chain said in a news release.

Here’s how to redeem Chipotle’s last minute holiday BOGO offer.

How to get a free appetizer at Chipotle on December 19th.

Customers can receive a free entree by simply wearing a tacky Christmas sweater and ordering at the restaurant after 4pm local time on Saturday, December 20th. Chipotle Mexican Grill’s definition of entrees includes salads, bowls, tacos, and burritos.

According to Chipotle, “Guests taking advantage of the benefit must be wearing an ‘additional’ sweater as determined at the discretion of restaurant staff.” ” The free item becomes a lower-priced entree.

Chipotle’s “Unwrap Extra” promotional offer can be redeemed in-restaurant only at participating restaurants nationwide. Conditions apply: Children’s meals do not count towards entree purchases. This deal cannot be combined with any other coupons, promotions, or special offers. Additionally, there is a limit of five free menu items per check.

Chipotle gives away free food to college students

Chipotle isn’t planning to leave college students out this holiday season, as it launches a new program, Bowl Eligible, where Chipotle U Rewards members can receive a free entree with their purchase.

Only college students attending a university with a football team eligible for the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) postseason are eligible to receive this giveaway. Students at 84 colleges are “bowl eligible.”

Students at eligible universities must join Chipotle U Rewards by Thursday, December 18th to qualify for the offer. Existing Rewards members attending eligible schools will automatically have access to the BOGO offer on Friday, December 19th.

To redeem a free entree, Chipotle U Rewards members must place an order through the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com within seven days of the offer being added to their account.
