According to the US Tsunami Warning System, tsunami warnings are more serious than tsunami clocks.
On July 29th, there was an earthquake powerful enough to rank it as the top ten most powerful earthquakes on record off the Russian coast, causing a series of tsunami warnings and clocks.
The earthquake measured an incredible magnitude of 8.8. For context, Michigan’s University of Technology says earthquakes above 8.0 can cause major damage and destroy the community.
The US Tsunami Warning System (Tsunami.gov) updates its guidance to help experts learn more about the threat. Within minutes and hours of major earthquakes, tsunami assessments change as researchers track data from Buoy and other interventions.
Latest updates: Live coverage of tsunami risk after 8.8 earthquake from Russia
According to the agency, each alert level means:
Tsunami Warning: Take action –danger! A tsunami is expected or occurs that can cause widespread flooding. Dangerous coastal flooding and powerful flows are possible and can last for hours or days after initial arrival. Follow the instructions from local officials. Evacuation is recommended. Move up high or inland (away from the water).
Tsunami Advisory: Take Action –A tsunami is expected with the potential for strong currents and waves that are dangerous for people underwater or very close. There may be flooding in the beach and harbor area. Stay away from the water and away from the beaches and waterways. Follow the instructions from local officials.
Tsunami Watch: Get ready –A distant earthquake occurred. Tsunami is possible.Stay tuned for more details. Be prepared to take action as needed.
Tsunami Information Statement: Relax–The earthquake occurred, but there was no threat, it was very far away, and the threat was not determined. In most cases, there is no destructive tsunami threat.
Those living along the coast can check out information from their local emergency management offices to get information about their local and risks.

How does NOAA track tsunamis?
A real-time tsunami monitoring system created by the Pacific Ocean Environment Research Institute in Washington has placed buoys in strategic locations in the ocean that play a key role in tsunami prediction, according to the National Marine and Atmospheric Administration. The buoy is named DART for its deep ocean assessment and reporting of tsunamis.
According to NOAA, when a tsunami event occurs, the first information is earthquake information from the previous earthquake. As the tsunami moves across the ocean, it reaches the DART system, which reports sea level information measurements to the Tsunami Warning Center. That voy data is used to improve tsunami estimates and to provide clocks, warnings and evacuation predictions.
Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory is working on a third generation of buoy systems, but the lab is one of the proposed closings under the budget proposed by NOAA next year.

Tsunami warnings have been issued for Russia, Japan, parts of Alaska and parts of Hawaii.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 20.7 km in Russia, approximately 74 miles (119 km) southeast of Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky, Russia.
The earthquake is the strongest on the planet since 2011, when a 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck Japan in the northeastern part of the world, causing a devastating tsunami.
Local Governor Vladimir Sorodov said the tsunami was declared on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. Authorities say tsunamis are recorded at 3-4 meters high in Erizobo district of Kamchatka. Minimal damage has been reported so far, Sorodov said.
Tsunami warnings have also been issued to Japan’s Pacific coast, with the country’s weather agency warning that waves up to 3 meters are expected to arrive at the country between 10am and 11am local time. The agency warned people to stay away from the coast.
According to the National Weather Service, the first wave is expected to collide around 7:17pm local time, and a tsunami warning was also issued for Hawaii.
“A potentially damaging tsunami has been created along the coastlines of all Hawaiian islands. Emergency action should be taken to protect lives and property,” the Weather Service warned.
Tsunami warnings are also effective in parts of Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. Tsunami watches are in place to the West Coast of Canada and the US Mexican border.
The epicenter of the earthquake is off the coast of Russia’s Far East Kamchatka Peninsula..
Kamchatka is part of the Pacific Ring Fire, an area of severe earthquakes and volcanic activity on both sides of the Pacific Ocean.
Sakhalin Governor Valerie Limalenko said residents had taken shelter to Sakhalin, a Russian island in the Pacific, southwest of the epicenter, RIA News reported.

President Donald Trump’s trade deal with the EU could raise prices for cars, medicines and luxury goods.
The Senate Committee unanimously approved a major housing bill on July 29, signaling bipartisan support for the issue plaguing members in districts around the country.
New opportunities for housing from the 2025 American Dream were sponsored by Sen. Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat of Massachusetts. The legislation aims to “increase the supply of affordable housing in America” through a wide range of policies, including increasing construction, achieving small mortgages, reforming the valuation process, and especially supporting manufactured homes.
The law has been “part of the most influential and comprehensive housing law since the Great Recession,” which began in 2007, and has been “partisan, the most influential and comprehensive housing law since the Great Recession,” an analyst at the Bipartisan Policy Center said in a summary released after the bill passed the Senate Committee on Banks, Housing and Urban Affairs.
One hint as to how comprehensive the bill is, incorporates at least 27 previously introduced legislation, with a summary of 23 of which were introduced with bipartisan sponsors.
The national housing crisis has deepened – and it is also becoming more widespread. The main presidential candidates for both parties focused on it on the campaign trail last fall, with legislators across the country continuing to be involved.
Shawn Donovan, CEO and president of Enterprise Community Partners who served as secretary to the Obama administration’s Housing and Urban Development Agency, told USA Today in December that “there are a much broader political order than you’ve seen around homes,” making almost every pocket in America, not just expensive coastal cities.
In 2024, home prices reached an all-time high, with a median value of $412,500. Using a traditional lender ratio of 31% debt income, borrowers need an annual income of at least $126,700 to make mortgage payments at the home at that price.
“Many people across the country were frustrated with the way we do American politics. Are there any issues connecting this country together?” said Senator Scott, who chairs the Senate Banking Committee during the July 29 session. “I say Hallelujah here! We found it. It’s a housing.”

Industry groups, including the National Association of Housing Builders, National Association of Realtors and the Association of Mortgage Banks, have issued statements in support of legislation.
But even if supporters cheered on the committee on a step in the bill, they warned that the bill would have a long way to go before it became law. The House will take it in the fall, and a bipartisan policy analyst said, “The bill will strengthen many existing federal housing programs and propose creating new housing programs, but will not evenly propose funding levels for these changes or offset increasing budget savings or revenue.”
Among the workers, the one Epstein stole was Virginia Giuffre, a former attendant at Mar a Lago, Trump said in Air Force 1.
Trump said Epstein hired a young woman from Marlago Spa
President Donald Trump says Jeffrey Epstein hired a young woman from Mar Lago Spa to end the friendship.
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump says his dropout with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted several years ago, prompted recruiting staff at his former friend, Mar Lago Spa, to Trump, and one of the people who accused a dishonorable financier of sex trafficking was a Mar Lago employee.
Trump told reporters that Epstein, a staff member from him, had worked at the spa, including Virginia Giuffre. His former Palm Beach Resort attendant said she was forced to have sex with a powerful man in an unsealed deposition in a honour-damaged lawsuit against Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell. According to the lawsuit, Giuffre said she was ordered to have sex. Prince Andrew denied the allegation.
Giuffre died of suicide in April this year. Trump is the only person he has named since proven that he has ended his friendship with Epstein. He said he did so because the late multibillionaire, who was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges at the time of his death in 2019, said he had “stolen” workers from his business.
On July 29, Trump confirmed that some of the staff at Palm Beach Spa are young women. He refused to provide details first, telling reporters who were flying with him from Scotland that “everyone knows the people that were taken.”
However, he later confirmed that the young woman was involved and told reporters, “The answer is yes.” When asked what the workers did, Trump offered to say they were “at the spa.”
“People who work at the spa. I have an amazing spa. I’m one of the best spas in the world in Malla Lago and people were taken out of the spa.
Trump was asked if Virginia Juhull was one of the people Epstein hired. At first, the president said, “I don’t know.” But after a brief pause he said, “I think so, I think it was one of the people, he stole her, and she wasn’t complaining about us.”

He couldn’t say how many staff Epstein poached him, noting that the incident happened many years ago. He said, “He took the others and if he did it, it was his end.”
“When they steal people, I don’t like it,” Trump said.
The White House previously said Trump had ended his friendship with Epstein. Epstein reported that CNN attended the president’s second wedding. Trump told reporters on July 29 that the two explanations were essentially the same.
Trump is under great pressure to explain his relationship with Epstein and to publish documents related to a government investigation into Epstein’s alleged sexual offences.
His latest comments came after Maxwell, Epstein’s code fendant, agreed to provide testimony to the Congressional Committee in response to a subpoena if the panel granted her immunity. Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021. She sued the Supreme Court on July 28th.
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson turn their heads at the premiere of “The Naked Gun”
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson burned cozy, romance rumours at the London premiere of the “Naked Gun” reboot.
“Naked Gun” co-stars Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are the latest focus on Hollywood romance rumors.
The Hollywood A-listers, behind the 1980s and 90s action franchise reboot (at theaters on August 1st), appeared on the “Today” show with Coanchor Craig Melvin.
“What is the deal here?” Melvin asked in the July 29 episode, working on “red carpet action” and “passionate” on-screen kisses. “You’re both single now. There’s obviously chemistry on display throughout the film. Are you two items?”
Neeson, 73, replied, “Craig!” “What? I don’t understand the question,” said Anderson, 58. Neeson then told Melvin, “I had never met Pamela before. We met on set, and we discovered that as two actors there was a lovely, budding chemistry.”
Pamela Anderson and Liamnyson Share loving red carpet moments
Neeson added that their approach to chemistry was, “Oh, this is fine. Don’t put this into shape. Let’s just let them breathe.”
Neeson had previously been married to British actress Natasha Richardson from 1994, who died in 1994 and 2009 at the age of 45, but Anderson had four husbands.
Last week, when his co-stars posed on the red carpet at the film’s London premiere, Anderson leaned in and gave Neeson a smooch on his cheek. When they took a photo with one of the film’s producers, she was seen clutching the Oscar nominee’s hands around her left hip.
On “Today,” Melvin insanely told his co-stars, “We’re seeing the beginning of a breathing of a budding relationship,” as Anderson nervously laughed. The journalist said, “America is here.
Pamela Anderson played the character In her personal life. Oscars could be next.
Before the “Today” interview ended, Melvin complied Anderson, telling the “last showgirl” actress “You bring out another side of Liam Neeson” and “We hope you (both) return officially.”
In a recent “Entertainment Tonight” interview, the pair mostly kissed. When Anderson leaned over a kiss close to Neeson, the “ET” red carpet reporter said “so close” before Anderson said “Yeah, so close.” Neeson added, “We’re a good one.”
When asked if he was dating last year, Neeson told people: “No, I say it in a word. I’m past it all.” In an Instagram post on July 29th, the film’s New York premiere, Anderson’s caption included the message, “Love is in the air.”
UN experts accused Israel of “withholding tax on access to safe drinking water from Palestinians in Gaza,” and said it would “use its cravings as a weapon to kill Palestinians.”
“The blockade and destruction of Israel’s private infrastructure have caused most of Gaza’s 2 million residents to evacuate and have no access to minimal vital drinking water,” a UN expert said in a statement. It said, “The movement led to deaths and widespread illnesses caused by water pollution, leading to a lack of hygiene and hygiene.”
Experts said since October 2023, when the war began, “Israel military operations have repeatedly targeted water facilities, wells, pipelines, desalination units and sewage systems, as 89% of Gaza’s water and sanitation infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed.” This has “have made more than 90% of the water unstable,” the statement said.
CNN contacted the Israeli government for comment.
The Israeli Defense Forces said it connected Israeli power lines to a desalination plant in Gaza over the weekend, supplying about 20,000 cubic meters of water per day.
UN experts are not UN staff and are not receiving pay for their jobs. According to the United Nations, they are independent human rights experts appointed by the UN Human Rights Council.

In the same release, the company said its Kansas City location was closed as it became “very isolated” by construction projects in the area that occupying the parking lot.
According to local news outlets KSDK and FOX 2, the St. Louis location at Bar K faced challenges before its closure. This faces a lawsuit filed in 2024, claiming that the location has nearly $300,000 in rent on St. Louis-based developer and landowner Green Street.
“As often it is, there is no single cause, but rather, there are various challenges that our startups have ultimately proven to be too difficult to overcome,” the company said.

Is the Trumps in the Epstein Files? Before the alerts reported by Bondi, here is where he appeared
latest: Ghislaine Maxwell says that under these conditions she is willing to testify
The Trump administration has dealt with fuss from the president’s Republican and Maga bases over the Department of Justice’s announcement in early July that it will not release the file at Epstein, a former investor convicted sex offender who died while awaiting trial on a 2019 sex trafficking charge.
The president and many of his allies have spent years claiming that Democrats had suppressed evidence of alleged Epstein’s “client list.” Attorney General Pam Bondy reviewed the “truck load” of the Epstein Files in March, saying it could potentially be released.
On July 7, DOJ announced that the investigation had no evidence of the expected client list and no evidence to accus others of Epstein’s death in 2019, and concluded that he had died of suicide.

The backlash against Epstein comes from the Magazine Base and podcast scene
Trump’s previous friendship with Epstein, along with years of speculation that was blazing by many Magazine allies, only increased discord among the president’s supporters, in a scandal filled with conspiracy theories and doubts from the start.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted July 15-16 found that 69% of Americans believe the federal government is hiding details about Epstein’s clients.
Logan is a Trump-friendly podcaster and comedian who opposed the administration’s handling of scandals and joined in similar fury reserves from fellow conservative and conservative figures like Theo Von, Tim Dillon, Tucker Carlson and Andrew Schultz.

In a July 16 social media post, Fon, with millions of subscribers to her podcast and social media channels, recirculated clips from a previous interview with Vance, who appears to have agreed to release files about Epstein’s criminal investigations at the time. Fon writes: “Yeah, what’s changed?”
Commentators and comedians are generally grouped together in the corner of media channels that cater to mostly male audiences, and in the corner of media channels that respond to lean rebuttals to conservatives. Rogan’s Podcasts are the most popular on Spotify, reaching millions of people a week. His 2024 support has often been praised for helping to support then-Trump male voters in the November election.

President Trump and Starge agree to Gaza’s humanitarian crisis
President Trump said in a meeting with British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer that he is focusing on putting food in Gaza.
British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer said a final decision would be made in September.
Priorities reminded me of the Cabinet from summer holidays to discuss the Gaza crisis.
The death toll in Gaza has reached 60,000, local officials said.
LONDON – Prime Minister Kiel Starmer said the UK is ready to recognize the Palestinian state at its UN General Assembly in September, unless Britain takes many steps to improve the lives of Palestinians.
If Britain acts, it will become the second western authority of the UN Security Council after last week’s France, reflecting the isolation of Israel in the war with Hamas in Gaza, where humanitarian disasters have occurred and the number of victims of Palestine deaths exceeding 60,000.
The priorities said on July 29 that the UK would move unless Israel takes substantial steps to enter Gaza, making it clear that it would be committed to a long-term peace process that would provide a Palestinian state that coexists peacefully alongside Israel.
“The Palestinians have endured terrible suffering,” Hoshi told reporters. “Now, in Gaza, due to the devastating failure of aid, we see an image of a hungry baby, too weak to stand, being with us for a lifetime. The suffering must end.”

The priority said his government would evaluate “to what extent parties meet these steps” in September, but no one would refuse to make a decision.
He recalled the Cabinet during the summer holidays and then made the decision after discussing new peace plans he is working with other European leaders and how to provide more humanitarian aid to Gaza 2.2 million people.

The UN held a summit to promote the Palestinian state as the Gaza War intensifies and global pressures are on its way.
With warnings from international aid agencies that Gaza people are facing starvation, the rise in Labour lawmakers in the Communist Party has called for the recognition of the Palestinian state to increase pressure on Israel.
The issue came to the fore after President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that he recognized Palestine as a state of Israel’s territory in the 1967 Middle East War.

At the start of the Gaza War in October 2023, when his priorities were opposition leaders, he fully supported Israel’s own self. However, his stance has shifted to a tougher approach to Israel over the years, especially since his election as prime minister over a year ago.
His government stopped the government’s challenge before the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and stopped selling arms to Israel.

When Social Security turns 90, 65% of retirees are currently dependent. The survey reveals that public confidence in its future continues to decline.
Straight Arrow News
Social Security privatization refers to a proposal in which a current government-run system is converted into a system that is run by a portion of the money you pay with regular Social Security taxes into a personal investment account that you are responsible for managing. The goal is to help Americans maximize Social Security dollars.
The idea has been around for decades, but it’s caught up in the new heat as reducing worries for the Social Security Agency (SSA) is the first step to enforce privatization.
If Social Security is privatized, we know that it will change, so we don’t deny that savings for retirement will be saved. The value of other savings methods, such as individual retirement accounts (IRAs), is also affected. Here’s how some of these changes present themselves:
IRAs can become even more important
Your Social Security benefits are not like knowledge that you don’t expect enough to encourage you to find another way to build retirement savings. Perhaps IRAs become even more important as a major tool for saving, helping to bridge the gap between income needs and resources.
Some people make IRAs the primary source of retirement funds, as IRAs tend to offer more investment options than 401(k) and other employer-sponsored retirement plans.
You can increase your contribution
If lawmakers determine that the current social security system requires an overhaul, it is likely that individual investors will at least discuss increasing IRA contribution limits as a way to strengthen retirement funds. While they are at it, Congress can consider strengthening catch-up options for older workers.
You’ll have access to more diverse investment strategies
The IRA offers a wide range of investment options like this. You can make investment decisions that are best alongside other investment types, such as 401(k) and pensions. When you spread your assets across several investment types, it’s easier to come up with a balanced portfolio. For example, if you have an employer-sponsored retirement plan that has heavy growth assets such as stocks and real estate, it is a good idea to balance it with a bond-heavy IRA.
The key is that no matter how a particular investment strategy works, it provides another tool for IRAs to work together.
You might be a bit of an IRA Whiz
Even if you’ve been investing for years, don’t be surprised if you’ll be able to manage your investment decisions more strongly lead to a deeper knowledge of higher levels of financial literacy and how to make the most of your IRA. Assuming responsibility for retirement savings may be focused on financial education, investment options, and how to make the most of your strategic withdrawal.
Additionally, employers may be on board by making it easier for employers to access financial advisors and resources.
Long-term growth is more important
For casual investors (especially new investors), the focus is often on short-term profits. However, knowing that Social Security benefits are less than expected may be enough to instead focus on long-term growth. Second, we find that depending on the age, there is a greater desire to invest in IRAs and take risks to compensate for the lack of social security.
As mentioned before, your IRA could also be a place to invest in your “safe space,” or a low-risk asset. No matter how you use it, it could turn your eyes to the future.
You can decide to consolidate your pension
The knowledge that you are supplementing your lost Social Security benefits allows you to decide to integrate your pension into your IRA. Pensions are a good way to generate stable and predictable income that complements other retirement investments.
In short, if Social Security privatization is achieved, it is a good bet that the IRA will become a more important part of the average investor portfolio.

In Trump Turnberry, his cheating surfaced after a video of his caddy that appears to appear to drop a golf ball into the grass was circulated through word of mouth.
Has Donald Trump caught an affair in Scotland golf?
President Donald Trump’s long-standing accusations of golf cheating have resurfaced after his video in Scotland went viral over the weekend.

Bettina Anderson and Donald Trump Jr. have been dating since 2024.
Fox News host Lara Trump joined Scottish husband Eric Trump for Aberdeen’s ribbon cutting.
“Trump Scotland” is trending for many reasons.
President Donald Trump visited his golf course. And he was not alone. Some members of his famous family lended their support.
There is also a viral video claiming he cheated on a golf game with an assist from a caddy.
Recently, Eric Trump, the son of Donald Trump and vice president of the Trump organization, announced his key pet project, Trump Scotland.

The company already owns a golf course there: Trump Turnberry. The new course, Trump International Scotland near Aberdeen, will officially open on August 13th. Donald Trump and his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. attended the family’s latest 18-hole golf course ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 29th.
“It was a lifelong honor to build a Trump Aberdeen masterpiece, a new course (Great North Sea Link),” Eric Trump called in an Instagram post “the best 36 holes on the planet.”
A few days ago, Eric Trump played golf with his father at Trump Turnberry. Videos of Donald Trump, who appears to be cheating on a Scotland golf course over the weekend, have circulated.
On July 27th, Patriottakes posted a video to X. There, the president stops the golf cart roughly before a trap of sand. His caddy walking in front of him appears to drop a golf ball into the grass beside him.

Trump approaches the ball, but the video is blocked before Trump hits it. USA Today could not immediately confirm the time or origin of the video, and there is no context or video showing where Trump actually hit a previous shot. The post by Patriottakes had 5 million viewers as of July 29th.
Donald Trump’s visit to this golf course with family members indicates another appearance in sports-related “events.” This was just a ribbon cut for the latest courses of the Trump National Golf and the Trump International Golf Family, but it was a significant public event.
Earlier this month, the president’s appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup final was another major sporting event since his second term began.
However, not all Trump family members have reached the VIP box of the FIFA Club World Cup, and not all have reached the ribbon cuts of Scotland’s Trump Turnberry or Trump Aberdeen. Below is a list of Trump’s families who attended (and did not) “Trump Scotland.”

When was the final release of the entire Trump family in 2025?
Life for the Commander has been busy since the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025. For example, from January 20th to July 14th, Donald Trump visited his Florida homeland 12 times, and visited his private club and major residence, Mar-a-Lago, ten times. The Mar-A-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida will close due to the social season and reopen in October.
Trump has made time for important events in sports, including the Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana, in addition to his presidential duties, travel and law. Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The NCAA Wrestling Championship Finals was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Gwyneth Paltrow is appearing in a new ad for astronomers following the company’s CEO scandal at the Cold Play concert.
Gwyneth Paltrow may be performing defenses as a temporary spokesman for astronomers following the current CEO’s ColdPlay concert drama, but the new biography is more interested in how she runs her empire.
“Gwyneth” by Culture and Fashion Journalist Amy Odell, Amy Odell maps Paltrows from Hollywood Nepo Baby to controversial wellness figures. The biography is based on interviews with more than 220 sources, but Paltrow refused to talk about it.
“Gwyneth” (now from Simon & Schuster) covers the life of the star, and includes a “conscious removal” of her relationship with Brad Pitt, her marriage, and Coldplay’s journey to Oscar-winning fame. Perhaps the most fascinating voyeur behind the curtains lies in her career transition to the goop guru.
USA Today reached out to Paltrow representatives for comment.
How Gwyneth Paltrow’s Touch-Out Lifestyle has led to Goop
If there is one central theme in all this deep diving of Paltrow, it is the actress’s irrelevantness extends farther than her ja egg shenanigans.
When promoting “Emma” in 1997, Paltrow requested a private plane from herself and ten friends. In the Penthouse Suite in Ritz, only friends are allowed, and Mercedes cars chase her and her friends. A plane ride alone costs Miramax $200,000 in dollars today, Odell writes. And when she filmed “Shallow Hull” with Jack Black, her team demanded that her accommodation be far from the other cast and crew.
However, it was Paltrow’s father’s throat cancer that slipped into the gorgeous wellness realm. While Bruce Paltrow denies his health, Odell writes, Gwyneth took charge of her — “I felt I could heal him on behalf of him,” Gwyneth wrote in The Guardian. Around this time she was promoting “shallow hull” (a comedy that itself is not aging), and began to frequently share unfounded comments about her health, such as her liver “doesn’t fall during yoga due to diet, Odell writes.
Around the mid-2000s, she was disillusioned with the film industry and asked producer Charlie Pinski, “Spain… I’m heading down the road again” what she should do next. Her food and home improvement project idea looked like “the next Martha Stewart” to Pinski, but he insisted that she focused on motherhood as her brand, Odell writes. She didn’t give him advice. Branding expert Peter Arnell helped her come up with a name and tweak Goop’s vision.
The biography claims Goop as “sometimes toxic environments.”
Behind the scenes of clean marketing and health promises, employee Odell described Goop as “one of the most challenging working conditions we have ever encountered.” Odell says the employee said “I don’t feel very good in my life.” Paltrow had a “fake and indirect leadership style” that led to anger and resentment.
The close relationships with some employees “blew the line between professionals and individuals,” Odell writes. She cums as a food editor as a private chef, making lunches and sometimes dinner for her and her husband, Brad Falchuk.
Some employees described the office culture as “harmful and chaotic,” Odell wrote. She describes the writer as overworked and underpaid, and is expected to call all the time, with some employees pulling by the side of the road while driving to respond to work messages. Paltrow provided employees with a two-week “goopation” while expecting employees to respond to her message.
Gwyneth Paltrow disrupts feathers in Condé Nast via Goop-Checking
As Goop’s effects swelled, he went further into the swaying wellness trends such as vaginal steaming, bone soup diets, and vaginal ja eggs (in 2018, Goop was fined $145,000 for an unfounded medical claim). Paltrow has seen herself as a crusader on the lesser known women’s health topic, but medical professionals dislike her “vigilante health journalism,” Odell writes. According to an Odell report, “Neith, neither Gwyneth nor Goop’s board nor investors were concerned about these controversies.”
When Condé Nast and Anna Wintour tapped Goop for their magazine partnership in 2017, the deal collapsed after two issues as Paltrow and Goop were not complying with Condé Nast fact-checking standards.
There was also a power struggle over whether Paltrow or Wintour had genuine control over the magazine. Paltrow wanted full control to promote Goop’s products in the magazine, but Condé Nast was afraid to alienate advertisers or compromise integrity.
Odell reports that Wintour and Paltrow’s relationship is “early lovefest,” with media moguls calling Paltrow “baby” at conferences. But Wintour wants to rigorously confirm the story, with Odell writing that Paltrow dismissing the criticism as “patriarchal” and that other outlets ultimately say that “other stores don’t” about women’s health, even if they’re not supported by science.
Expert Odell spoke to “Gwyneth” Riken Goop to the cult.
“Wellness advocates position it as the necessary opposition to Big AG and Big Pharma, conveniently ignoring what they have created: Big Wellness,” writes Odell.

There are many reasons to avoid super-leg foods, such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. However, the increased risk of lung cancer may be yet another, new research suggests.
Limited foods contain ingredients that are never used or rarely used in kitchens or additive classes that have the ability to make the final product attractive or more attractive, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
These ingredients found in items such as soda, chips, packaged soups, chicken nuggets, and ice cream can be added or altered by adding preservatives against mold and bacteria, artificial colouring, emulsifiers that stop separation, and sugar, salt and fats to make your food even more attractive.
According to a study published in the Journal Thorax, people who eat the most ultra-highly processed foods are 41% more likely to be diagnosed with lung cancer, even after considering other factors such as smoking.
In this study, researchers analyzed data from over 100,000 people who completed the National Health and Nutrition Survice Survey Food Frequency Questionnaire on Dietary Habits and compared medical records and information for lung cancer diagnosis.
On average, people drew three drinks of ultra-highly processed foods per day, most commonly lunch meat, diet or caffeinated soft drinks, or caffeinated soft drinks a day.
“Industrial treatments change the food matrix, affecting the availability and absorption of nutrients, and produce harmful contaminants,” the researchers added. They particularly highlight acrolein, which can come from burning tobacco, wood, plastic, gasoline, and cooking fats and oils at high temperatures, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Packaging materials could also be part of the problem, they suggested.
This study is observational. This means that, although the methods were clear and powerful, this study cannot clearly demonstrate that food causes lung cancer. However, there is a link between the two, said Dr. David Katz, a preventive and lifestyle medicine expert and founder of the nonprofit true health initiative. He was not involved in the research.
“This study strongly suggests that (ultra-highly rocessed foods) can contribute to the risk of lung cancer,” he said.
According to the World Health Organization, lung cancer is a common cancer, with an estimated 2.4 million new cases in 2022.
Smoking is a major contributor to the risk of lung cancer, but those who don’t smoke can still get it.
The author adjusted for factors. That is, while we explained other possible things that could increase the diagnosis of lung cancer, such as whether a person smoked or not, it is important to note that measurements are not subtle, Dr. Hwang Fang Chan said he is the chairman of the division of division of nutrition and data science. She was not involved in the research.
“Smoking is a very important risk factor for lung cancer, so adjusting smoking in a crude way can leave a large room for the rest of the confounding,” she said in an email. “It is important to adjust for intensity (e.g., tobacco/day) and duration (e.g., years of smoking) or cumulative exposure of smoking (e.g., pack year). However, the authors found that the association between ultra-high-handled food consumption and the risk of lung cancer is stronger among people in no way strong.”
There are no studies on ultra-positive foods or the risk of lung cancer, but much of the existing evidence shows how important diet quality is to predict early death from any cause in the United States, Katz said.
In many cases, ultra-positive food consumption is linked to lower dietary quality, including higher intakes of saturated fats, chemicals, salt and sugar, as well as higher calorie consumption.
These factors “major pathways in cancer development and progression — can damage the microbiota and impair immune system function,” he said in an email. “This combination of excessive inflammation and immune disorders makes you better at illicit cells. …This scenario is the beginning of cancer.”
Foods with super-legged legs tend to be lower than omega-3s, said Tom Brenna, PhD, professor of pediatrics, human nutrition and chemistry at Dell Medical College, Austin. According to the National Institute of Health, Nutrition Supplements, omega-3 is a healthy, healthy fat that the body cannot produce on its own.
“Omega-3s limit shelf life, so if you’re going to extend something… you’d like to get rid of the omega-3,” said Brenna, who wasn’t part of the research.
Chang said that the additive processed foods, carcinogens formed during processing, or chemicals in food packaging may also be at play.
“However, these pathways are not well understood and guarantee further investigation,” she said.
The study adds the risk of lung cancer to its list of reasons to avoid ultra-highly processed foods and improve diet quality, Katz said.
Health and diet quality improves mostly when you eat untreated foods and plants such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds, he added.
If you want to make changes, Zhang recommends starting by reading the food labels.
“While avoid foods with long ingredients lists with unfamiliar names. These are more likely to be additives, preservatives and artificial flavors,” she said. “Whenever possible, prioritize whole foods and prepare meals using all or minimally processed ingredients.”
Instead of focusing on what you don’t eat, try prioritizing adding food directly from nature to your diet, Katz added.
“If you’re used to eating a lot of UPF, then more ‘real’ foods move on to less of those, one better option at a time,” he said in an email.
It may take a minute for the taste to adapt to healthier foods, but if you give them a few weeks to get used to it, you can become more likely to prefer the taste of more natural ingredients, he said.
“When that happens, it becomes much easier to maintain a healthier diet,” Katz added.

The World Court says countries must deal with climate change
The UN’s highest court said countries need to fulfill their climate obligations or face potential lawsuits.
WASHINGTON – The Environmental Protection Agency retracts long-standing findings that greenhouse gas emissions put human health at risk and vehicle tailpipe emission standards at risk, setting what it describes as the largest deregulation action in US history.
Republican President Donald Trump’s choice to run EPA Lee Zeldin announced the agency’s plans to withdraw “dangerous findings” on Tuesday in a ruthless podcast.
In 2009, the EPA under former Democrat President Barack Obama announced its discovery that emissions from new cars contribute to pollution, putting public health and welfare at risk. It was supported by several legal challenges and supported subsequent greenhouse gas regulations.
“When it comes to risk discoveries, they’ll say that carbon dioxide is a pollutant and that’s the end. They won’t acknowledge any kind of benefits or the need for carbon dioxide,” Zeldin told the podcast. “It’s important to note how important it is to the planet.”
Last week, Reuters reported that the EPA plans to remove all greenhouse gas emission standards for light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles and engines in the coming days after removing scientific findings that justified these rules, in accordance with the summary.
It is also expected to justify retracting the discovery of danger by casting doubt on the scientific record used to make the discovery, saying that “development raises great questions on the reliability of the discovery.”
In a landmark case in the 2007 Massachusetts v. EPA, the U.S. Supreme Court said the EPA has authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, and called on agencies to make scientific discoveries on whether to put public health at risk.
If confirmed, this measure will destroy the EPA’s ability to implement its main authority to limit climate pollution under the Federal Clean Air Act.
Environmental activists quickly condemned the announcement.
“As if doubt remains, the Trump administration has formalized climate denial as an official US government policy,” the Sierra Club said in a statement that is Lauren Blackford’s executive director. “If approved, revoking the finding of danger will be a critical blow to the EPA’s authority to limit the EPA’s fatal greenhouse gas emissions and protect the planet from the worst of the climate crisis. Almost every day, extreme weather, record-breaking incidents, record-breaking floods, deadly floods and droughts threaten our lives and our communities.
“The Trump administration is once again doing so only in the interests of corporate polluters while we settle the very foundations and laws of our government and pay the prices.”
Zeldin said he will make a formal announcement in Indiana Tuesday afternoon.
Cheesecake Factory eliminates 13 dishes and introduces 22 options
Long-time favorites like the famous restaurant chain White Chicken Chili and spicy cashew chicken are gone.
Scripps News
National Cheesecake Day is Wednesday, July 30th, with the Cheesecake Factory celebrating its customers with new flavors and sweet deals.
The restaurant chain announced last month to USA Today that it launched a new flavor in honor of its holiday. The flavor, called Peach Perfect on Raspberry Drizzle, features peach and peach cheesecake on top of vanilla crust and finished in raspberry sauce, the company told USA Today.
Additionally, the chain will offer “any slices, half price” deals on July 30th. This offer is valid for the first day only for cheesecake reward members to eat.
At the end of the promotion there is a charity element. The company told USA Today that it would donate 25 cents to the United States for each slice of Peach Perfect along with the Raspberry Drizzle, which was sold until July 29, 2026. According to the restaurant chain, they have donated nearly $7 million to the United States in the past through the sale of the featured cheesecake.
The origins of National Cheesecake Day, Cheesecake Factory
According to Old Farmer’s Almanac, National Cheesecake Day was founded in 1985. However, the dessert itself has roots dating back to ancient Greece.
In 1972, Evelyn and Oscar Overton moved to Los Angeles to open the Cheesecake Factory Bakery. According to the restaurant chain’s website, they soon began selling Evelyn’s cheesecakes to restaurants in Los Angeles.
Six years later, son David decides to open a restaurant in Beverly Hills to showcase his mother’s cheesecake. The restaurant became the first place in the cheesecake factory.

We and China are close to deals to extend the tariff ceasefire
The US and China could extend the tariff ceasefire ahead of the August 1 deadline.
WASHINGTON – The Trump administration and Chinese officials appear to be moving towards extending the 90-day tariff ceasefire that both sides attacked in May, but President Donald Trump has not yet signed off.
The momentum to extend the ceasefire came as a result of two days of US-China talks in Stockholm, as the two countries became modest with massive, triple-digit tariffs on each other’s imports.
“I’m going to talk to the president about whether that’s what he wants to do,” Trump’s trade trade representative, Jamieson Greer, told reporters in Stockholm. “That’s certainly something that’s been discussed.”

When Trump returned to the White House from Scotland to Air Force 1, he expressed optimism about the latest debate between his economic team and Chinese officials.
“They’ll explain to me tomorrow, either we’ll accept it or not,” Trump said, referring to the extension of the ceasefire.
China’s top trade negotiator Li Chenggang said the two countries agreed to push for an extension of the trade ceasefire without specifying when or how long.
In May, the Trump administration and China agreed to cut tariffs for 90 days to eliminate the trade war between the two biggest economies in the world, but the two continued to negotiate a long-term deal. However, the long-term contract between the US and China has yet to come ahead of the August 1 deadline, when nearly 180 countries were preparing to impose high tariffs on goods.
During the May ceasefire, the US reduced the 125% mutual tariffs imposed on Chinese imports to 115%, to a baseline tariff of 10%, consistent with the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on other countries. Trump’s 20% tariff was a slap in China over fentanyl production, meaning that US tariffs on China are totaling 30%.
Next, the Chinese government agreed to reduce retaliatory tariffs on US exports from 125% to 10% for 90 days.
The Treasury Department, Scott Bescent, who participated in the trade talks in Stockholm, said he thought Trump was “shocked” by the recent announcement of the trade deal between Japan and the European Union.

“They never comply, but I think they were more in the mood due to the wider discussion,” Bescent said, calling the tone of a “constructive” lecture.
Bescent said Trump’s team communicated the US’s need to improve its trade balance with China in areas such as rare earth minerals, semiconductors and drugs.
“We’ve repeated to them. We don’t want to separate. We need to eliminate certain industries and risks,” Bessent says.
Ghislaine Maxwell is willing to testify before Congress about what she knows about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, but says that the testimony will be on her terms.
Trump asked about Maxwell’s pardon as the Epstein Files face scrutiny
President Donald Trump says he has not considered a pardon for Githraine Maxwell in new scrutiny via the Epstein Files.
Gislaine Maxwell, a convicted conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein, is willing to testify before Congress about what she knows about the dishonest investor who died in prison in 2019, but says she has conditions.
Maxwell expressed her enthusiasm from her lawyer, David Marx on July 29 to Rep. James Comer of R-Kentucky, who heads the House Committee on Surveillance and Government Reform. Comer issued a subpoena last week at the Federal Correctional Facility in Tallahassee, Florida, on August 11 to secure Maxwell’s testimony through deposition.
However, Maxwell said in the letter that the obvious arrangement in her testimony was “non-alien” without first securing immunity.
“(w)e wants to find a way to work with Congress if we can establish a fair and safe progress,” the letter states.
The letter comes after Maxwell spoke to Justice Department officials over two days last week. According to ABC News and NBC News, the department has granted a limited form of immunity to ensure participation in the interview.
These talks followed weeks of enduring rage from politicians and the public over the division’s announcement that it would not publish the files at Epstein in early July.
The Trump administration and Congress have resorted to Maxwell as a potential source of transparency and accountability regarding other Epstein co-conspirators who may have been involved in the sex trafficking ring. Epstein died in prison in 2019 and was awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking charges. He was previously convicted in 2008 of two crimes, Florida prostitution crimes.
Federal ju umpire found Maxwell guilty in 2021 for trafficking a minor to Epstein for sexual abuse. She currently serves a 20-year prison term and is appealing before the U.S. Supreme Court. The High Court was able to decide whether to hear Maxwell’s appeal in September.
Maxwell asked Comer to schedule testimony from her after the Supreme Court dealt with her appeal and then another court appeal she plans to. She also requires the House committee to provide questions in advance, and says the arrangements allow for preparation and identification of documents that can support her answers.
Alternatively, Maxwell said he would be happy to testify before Congress if President Donald Trump acknowledges her generosity. Trump has the power to forgive Maxwell and commute her sentence.

One big, beautiful bill law recently passed predicted by experts will cut Medicaid compensation for millions of Americans and, coupled with the proposed abolition of $56 million grants for overdose reversal training and distribution, threaten to undermine progress in reducing mortality from opioid overdose. Medicaid supports the treatment of approximately 1 million people with opioid use disorders, particularly through its expansion.
If federal funds collapse, many people could lose access to care, reversing the hard-earned profits against overdose deaths driven by expanded health care and life-saving tools. As synthetic opioids like fentanyl fuel the ongoing overdose crisis, maintaining progress requires both robust policies and progress in overdose reversal strategies.
Federal estimates show that drug overdose deaths fell sharply to five-year lows in 2024, but last year there still had more than 80,000 deaths. Synthetic opioids were involved in more than half of these cases.
Highly synthetic opioids like fentanyl (HPSOS) that are 50-100 times more potent than heroin, have formed an overdose landscape. Fentanyl can cause rapid respiratory arrest within minutes and often last longer than standard inverters. First responders frequently report that multiple doses of naloxone (best known under the brand name Narcan) must be administered to reverse fentanyl overdose.
Recent analysis by Dr. Mark Gold, The University of Washington’s School of Psychiatry and colleagues explore the challenges of reverse HPSO overdose and utilizing observational studies, lab data and clinical experience. They emphasize that effective reversal requires the agent to be tailored to the efficacy and duration of the opioid. This is a complicated task given the increasingly unpredictable nature of today’s illicit drugs.
Among the options, nasalmefene has emerged as a prominent tool due to its rapid onset and longer duration compared to the standard inverting drug naloxone. It is administered via a simple spray and acts quickly to restore breathing, helping to reduce the risk of “re-drilling”.
However, the American School of Medical Toxicology and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology are paying attention to the adoption of nalmefene as a primary drug, citing potential risks such as revival of respiratory depression due to prolonged withdrawal symptoms and the weakened effectiveness of the drug.
However, these concerns are not specific to nalmefene, as all opioid antagonists carry similar risks. Furthermore, these risks are easily managed with proper medical surveillance and surveillance. This is the standard practice after inversion.
To put it plainly, we would rather risk having to treat such side effects to living people who have revived, than thinking “if any” about tens of thousands of people each year who are sadly not saved by our current efforts.
The development of new reversal agents such as nalmefene highlights the important need for sustainable research funding to address the evolving opioid crisis. However, recent budget proposals include significant cuts from the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with NIH down to $27.5 billion to a 40% reduction and CDC down to 44% in 2026, threatening research into new treatments and public health responses.
These cuts could halt the progression of innovative solutions such as Compound 368. This increases the potency of naloxone by 7.6 times, resulting in a 10-fold effect, allowing covalent naloxone nanoparticles (CNLX-NPs) to maintain treatment levels for 48 hours to prevent linercutting. While promising, slowing the onset of CNLX-NPs requires pairing with fast acting naloxone for rapid effects. Such potentially life-saving advances rely on consistent funding to move from labs to real-world use.
Policy continues to play an important role in stopping the tide. The World Health Organization recommends limiting access to precursor chemicals used in fentanyl production and increasing international control of their analogs. It’s nice to see this is one of the few areas that the Trump administration agrees with whom. Strengthening border security and surveillance could further limit the supply of illegal HPSOs.
Equally important, HPSOS rapidly induces hypoxia, and therefore receives latest training for first responders and bystanders, highlighting the interaction between reversible agents and immediate CPR. Public awareness campaigns should highlight the efficacy of HPSOS and the need for rapid intervention, new agents such as nalmefene and multiple doses and Narcan, and post-inversion monitoring.
Thankfully, the CDC has reported a recent decline in national overdose deaths. However, vulnerability persists, especially in communities facing geographical, racial, or demographic disparities.
The rise in stimulants added to fentanyl, which promoted a 50-fold increase in related overdose deaths between 2010 and 2021 and accounted for 32.3% of fatal overdose, complicating the crisis. These contaminated drugs turn non-opioid use into a fatal risk. This is because users often lack opioid resistance. A comprehensive strategy combining policy, education and innovative reversal tools is essential to addressing this diversity threat.
Protection of Medicaid and overdose prevention funds is important to maintain progress in the fight against deaths caused by opioid overdose. Combining these efforts with evidence-based training and advances in reversal strategies will allow us to better equip our communities to confront the evolving opioid crisis and save lives.
Rather than reaching women abroad, the Trump administration is set to destroy $9.7 million worth of US-purchased contraceptives.Demolition of foreign support programs implemented by the US International Development Agency or USAID.
“Preliminary decision” to destroy USAID–The procured birth control was confirmed by a State Department spokesperson. He said the cost of incinerating them would be $167,000.
Contraceptives are housed in Ziel’s warehouse in Belgium. The Belgian Foreign Office said it is engaged in diplomatic consultations with the US Embassy to work to find alternative solutions for supplies.
Asked about whether birth control pills will undoubtedly be destroyed, State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce said Tuesday it was a “changeable situation every day.”
“We are aware of the problem, but of course we are committed to policies that Americans care about,” she said in the briefing.
A US Congress aide told CNN that contraceptives are mostly long-term types of contraception, such as intrauterine devices (IUDs) and injections. According to the aides, it is not clear when the consumables will be destroyed.
“They contain high levels of hormones and don’t want to risk leaking by-products in the environment, so they need to double-burn their products. “The Trump administration is literally burning taxpayer money.”
A list of supplies shared with CNN by another source with knowledge of warehouse inventory shows that contraceptives include copper IUD, rod implants, contraceptive injections, levonorzestrel and ethinylestradiol tablets. According to the source list, some users have USAID branding, but the majority do not.
Most products expire in 2028 or 2029, with the earliest date of the product in April 2027.
A US State Department spokesperson called the birth control pills “a specific abortion contraceptive commodity from a terminated Biden-era USAID contract.”
Whether a particular birth control pill is described as avortifascient or causes abortion is controversial due to debate over whether the egg is bloated or begins at a subsequent stage. Several contraceptive methods, including IUDs, may work by preventing implantation of fertilized eggs. However, IUDs work primarily by suppressing egg release or preventing sperm from reaching the egg.
“Only a limited number of products have been approved for disposal. No HIV drugs or condoms have been destroyed,” the spokesman added. “USAID avoided an additional $34.1 million taxpayer fees by negotiating a non-cost cancellation of a pending order made under the Biden administration.”
“There’s nothing like Avortipastic birth control pills,” an American obstetric gynecologist (ACOG) told CNN.
“Birth controls prevent pregnancy by definition – they don’t end pregnancy. IUDs and other contraceptions do not cause abortion, and otherwise the suggestion is misinformation,” the ACOG said Tuesday.
In response to media reports that contraceptives have been set to be moved to French medical waste facilities so that they will be destroyed by the end of July, French diplomatic sources told CNN that the contraceptives have been being processed by private groups and “no information on the transfer” as last Thursday.
“We will firmly support the Belgian authorities’ commitment to find solutions to prevent the destruction of these contraceptives, so that they can reach the women and men around the world who need them and are waiting for them,” the diplomatic source added. “Access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health services and products is both human rights and public health issues.”
US Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) dispatched staffAs part of an effort to introduce legislation in Belgian warehouses that prohibit “destroying such goods unless all efforts to sell or donate have been exhausted.” Staff also found that the date for birth control pills expired is 2027, and some consumables did not expire until 2031. This means it could be used for years to come.
“It’s a shame the moment the Trump administration makes devastating cuts to foreign aid, the State Department signs off on actually spending money to save lives and destroy paid goods awaiting deployment,” Shaheen said in a statement. “In countries affected by conflict, such as Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where hunger is in place, food and family planning products are desperately needed.”
Florinda Barresi, a spokesman for the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told CNN “we are exploring all possible paths to prevent the destruction of these stocks, including temporary relocations.”
An organization called MSI Reproductive Choices said IT and other funding partners offered to pay for shipping and repackaging for the USAID brand supply, but the US government declined the offer.
“We were not given a reason for why this offer was not accepted, but the conversation revealed that it was not and that it was being put into our efforts to find alternative solutions to the birth control gap.
The State Department responded to questions about the offer from CNN, highlighting the so-called “Mexico City Policy.” This “prohibits prohibiting certain assistance to foreign non-governmental organizations that perform or actively promote abortion as a way of family planning.”
That policy, which opponents call the “global gag rule,” prevents non-governmental organizations providing abortion, providing counseling about abortion, or advocating for safe access to abortion from receiving US funds.
The planned destruction of birth control pills sparked protests from other organisations, such as Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
“Access to birth control pills is already limited in the communities provided by MSF, whether they are affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human disasters, or exclusion from health care,” the organization said in a statement. “The context that previously relied on contraceptive products with USAID funds has increased supply chain disruption and inventory risk.”
“MSF has seen firsthand the dangerous consequences of when and when women and girls can freely make their health decisions by choosing to prevent or delay pregnancy,” added Avril Benoît, chief executive of MSF USA.
MSF also cited reports that more USAID branded contraceptives are housed in UAE warehouses, but the organization said the US government’s plans for supplying these are unknown.
A State Department spokesperson did not address questions about contraceptives that were warehoused in the UAE. CNN contacted the UAE government for comment.
At the beginning of July, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio welcomed the end of USAID, saying future foreign aid programs will be administered by the State Department in line with management policies. The rapid demolition of USAID, led by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has cut thousands of foreign aid programs, including many people focused on life-saving work.
A study published earlier this month by the leading medical journal Lancet estimated that cuts in USAID funding could result in more than 14 million deaths by 2030. We estimated that USAID funding reduced HIV/AIDS-related mortality rates and that malaria would likely follow suit.
