More than 20,000 Ventura-brand peanut butter products have been recalled in 40 states due to the risk of plastic contamination.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on March 23 that it has issued a public health alert regarding ground beef products that may be contaminated with metals.
The product, a 16-ounce vacuum-packed bag of White Oak Pastures’ “Thoroughly Traditionally Farmed, Grass-Fed Ground Beef,” is not currently available for purchase and is not being recalled, FSIS said.
The package of ground beef has the establishment number “EST 34729” inside the USDA inspection mark and is stamped “105761 Sold by 03/19/26” on the back. This item was shipped to distributors and Mom’s Organic Markets retailers in Washington, DC, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Were you injured?
White Oak Pastures discovered the issue after receiving two consumer complaints.
“There are no confirmed reports of injuries from ingesting this product. If you are concerned about injury, you should contact your health care provider,” FSIS said.
Still, the agency said it was concerned that the product could be in consumers’ freezers and stressed that consumers who have purchased ground meat products should not consume it.
“These products should be disposed of or returned to the place of purchase,” the agency said.
How to contact the company
Consumers with questions regarding the public health warning should contact White Oak Pastures Processing Operations Manager Justin Wiley at (229) 641-2081 or Facebook@whiteoakpastures.com.
Additionally, consumers with food safety questions can call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline toll-free at 888-MPHotline (888-674-6854) or email the agency at MPHotline@usda.gov.
Anyone who needs to report a problem with meat, poultry, or egg products can use the online Electronic Consumer Complaint Monitoring System, which is accessible 24 hours a day at https://foodcomplaint.fsis.usda.gov/eCCF/.

Matt Lauer accuser Brooke Nevils details allegations in new essay
Former NBC talent assistant Brooke Nevils speaks out against Matt Lauer in a new personal essay.
Former Today anchor Matt Lauer was spotted in a rare sighting in New York about two months after former NBC talent assistant Brooke Nevils went public with sexual assault allegations in 2017.
According to People magazine, Lauer, 68, was spotted with girlfriend Shamin Abbas after dinner in Sag Harbor Village, Long Island, on March 23.
In the photo shared by People, Lauer can be seen wearing a light gray jacket and a dark baseball cap, while Abbas can be seen wearing a dark coat with fur lining. It’s the first time the former TV personality has been photographed since November, People newspaper reported.
In a dodgy article in The Cut published on January 28, Ms. Nevils not only discussed the alleged assault that occurred in Sochi, Russia, during NBC’s Olympic coverage, but also explained why she did not report it to law enforcement.
“A startling and clear thought crossed my mind, but it quickly faded from consciousness. If anyone else had done this to me, I would have gone to the police,” Nevils wrote in the article, recalling how she woke up in her hotel room with blood on her sheets and pain. “His perspective was the reality in the news industry at the time, and if you disagreed with it, you were wrong.”
At the time, Lauer was the longest-running host of the “Today” show with a multimillion-dollar contract. Nevils said she felt trapped because she was in a foreign country known for surveillance and had only other NBC employees and NBC-employed doctors around her.
“I was surrounded by people whose careers depended on Matt’s success, just like mine,” she wrote. “Good quarterbacks have short memories, I told myself. Good soldiers fight another day. Good girls don’t fuss.”
Mr. Lauer denied wrongdoing, insisting that his sexual contact with Mr. Nevils was consensual. He faces multiple charges, but no criminal charges.

When was Matt Lauer fired?
Lauer co-anchored the Today show for 20 years before being fired in November 2017 over complaints of “inappropriate sexual conduct in the workplace.”
Following Lauer’s exit from the NBC morning talk show, Variety published the results of a two-month investigation focusing on three women who have identified themselves as victims of sexual harassment allegations by Lauer.
The newspaper reported that Lauer’s “work and sex went hand in hand,” and that during his years covering the Olympics, the anchor regularly invited women to his hotel rooms and to his secluded office at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City.
In a statement to The Associated Press at the time, Lauer said, “While some of the things that have been said about me are false or misconstrued, there is a truth in these stories that is embarrassing and embarrassing.”

Plus-size clothing retailer Torrid has closed more than 150 “structurally unproductive” stores, according to its 2025 fourth quarter and fiscal year report.
The California-based women’s clothing brand was forced to close 151 stores nationwide, including 77 in the fourth quarter of last year.
Torrid CEO Lisa Harper said in a March 19 report that the closure was the result of “prudent strategic decisions” needed to put the business back on stronger footing. Torrid Holdings has also launched five sub-brands and “fundamentally restructured” its product assortment to support its efforts, he added.
Torrid offers a wide range of stylish apparel, underwear and accessories that are “artfully designed” for curvaceous women. The brand opened its first store in April 2001.
Torrid did not provide details about its future strategy, including whether it would involve further closures, but said, “Trends in the fourth quarter and early first quarter give us confidence that the foundations we have built are beginning to take hold.”
“We enter 2026 with a strong operating foundation, including optimized channels, products and pricing,” Harper said in the report. “We are confident we are on the right path and are encouraged by the early signs of progress we are seeing in the business.”
The closures come after Harper announced in January 2025 that Torrid would close “up to 180 underperforming stores” in the same year. At the time, he said the move would allow the company to “reduce fixed costs and reinvest in areas that drive long-term growth.”
Torrid did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment or a list of closures on March 24.
How many stores in Torrid have closed?
Last year, Torrid closed 151 stores, including 77 in the fourth quarter. According to its third quarter report, the company had a total of 560 stores at the end of the third quarter.
Border czar Tom Homan announced the end of Minnesota’s immigration operation after a deadly shooting sparked tensions and community backlash.
LOS ANGELES — The state of Minnesota sued the federal government on Tuesday, March 24, seeking evidence of the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Preti by federal agents and the shooting that injured another man during a surge in immigration enforcement in the state.
The lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice and Homeland Security alleges that authorities prevented state investigators from providing important evidence and information about the shooting.
In late January, in the wake of Preti’s murder, a court granted the state a temporary restraining order barring federal investigators from destroying evidence in the investigation. The restraining order was eventually lifted by a judge who granted it.
“Plaintiffs seek declaratory and injunctive relief to nullify Defendants’ policy of non-cooperation and resulting refusal to comply with the investigative demands of Minnesota authorities,” the complaint states.
The lawsuit highlights a conflict between local and state officials in Minnesota and the Trump administration over the investigation into the shooting, which has intensified protests against the administration’s heavy-handed immigration crackdown in the state.
A DHS spokesperson said in a statement that all shootings are first reviewed by the appropriate law enforcement agency, followed by an independent review within Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Customs and Border Protection.
A spokeswoman said the shooting of Ms. Good, a Minneapolis resident and mother of three who was shot and killed by ICE agents while inside her car on Jan. 7, remains under review.
Besieged city: Why is Minneapolis at the center of so much turmoil?
The FBI is leading the investigation into the shooting death of Preti, an intensive care unit nurse, who was shot and killed in a separate incident on January 24, a spokeswoman said. The Department of Homeland Security’s Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation, and CBP is conducting its own internal investigation, a spokesperson said in a statement.
A joint investigation by ICE and the Department of Homeland Security into the third shooting of Venezuelan immigrant Julio Cesar Sosascelis found that two officers may have made false statements, a spokesperson said. The officers are on leave pending an internal investigation and could lose their jobs, the statement said.
“ICE remains committed to transparency, accountability, and fair enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws,” the spokesperson said.

Puka Nacua’s attorney acknowledged the allegations against the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver in a legal filing, but said in a statement that his client denies any wrongdoing.
The woman claims that Nacua made anti-Semitic remarks and bit her while she was out with a group on New Year’s Eve 2025. The allegations were first reported by TMZ on Tuesday.
According to TMZ, the alleged victim has filed a temporary restraining order against Nacua and filed a police report.
Through his lawyer, Nacua denied the charges leveled against him.
“Puka denies these allegations in the strongest possible terms,” attorney Levi G. McCassan II said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports. “We intend to file a defamation lawsuit and pursue all legal remedies against these false and harmful statements.”
Nacua’s lawyer also said the alleged victim demanded millions of dollars in exchange for not going public with the allegations.
“Let’s be clear about what this case is and what it’s not,” Macassan said. “This matter is not sexual in nature, and it does not involve allegations of domestic violence. If it were, the filing would be very different, but it is not. Nor are there any anti-Semitic elements.”
Macassan also said sober witnesses denied that Nacua made any anti-Semitic remarks.
The Rams declined to comment when contacted by USA TODAY Sports.
In December, Nacua faced backlash for using an anti-Semitic metaphor during a livestream appearance. He later issued an apology, admitting he had “no knowledge” that the act was anti-Semitic in nature and perpetuated harmful stereotypes about Jews.
Nacua is in the final year of his rookie contract. He is eligible for a lucrative contract extension this offseason.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for April 14, according to TMZ.

Many of the fruits and vegetables you eat contain alarming amounts of pesticides, new analysis suggests. The Environmental Working Group (EWG), a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization, released a produce report listing the “Dirty Dozen” foods that have the most pesticides and permanent chemicals, and the “Clean Fifteen” list of produce that has the least amount of pesticide residue. More than one-third of non-organic and conventionally grown fruit and vegetable samples tested positive for: At least one in 31 pesticides is considered a PFAS compound, also known as a “permanent chemical” because it does not easily break down and can persist in the environment and accumulate in the body. Peaches, plums, strawberries and grapes had the highest levels of PFAS pesticide residues, while produce such as sweet corn and mushrooms had the lowest levels, according to the EWG report.
Dietary notes: A public health warning has been issued for this ground meat product. Here’s why:
EWG used USDA inspection data for 47 agricultural products to create its annual report. The most commonly detected chemical was fludioxonil.
Based on animal testing, more than half of the samples of peaches, plums, nectarines, and pears collected by the USDA contained residues of fludioxonil, which can have adverse effects on the liver, hormones, and nervous system, the EWG said in a statement.
Fludioxonil is a chemical applied post-harvest to prevent mold and is considered by some researchers to be a permanent chemical. However, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency does not consider it among PFAS compounds.
This represents a “glaring hole in pesticide oversight,” EWG said earlier this month when it released a similar report on California produce and pesticides, the USA TODAY Network’s Palm Springs Desert Sun reported.
Early research suggests that some PFAS chemicals can accumulate in crops and pose potential risks to reproduction and development, but “significant gaps in the data remain,” according to an EWG news release. Some studies in animals suggest that exposure to a combination of PFAS and pesticide compounds may be more harmful than a single chemical, the research group said.
“Consumers have a right to know what’s in their food,” said Varun Subramaniam, a scientific analyst with the Environmental Working Group. “This year’s findings highlight the presence of PFAS pesticides in our food supply. At the same time, this guide shows there are simple steps shoppers can take to reduce their exposure while still eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.”
‘Dirty Dozen’ produce with the most pesticides detected
EWG’s report found that nearly all (96%) of these fruit and vegetable samples contained pesticides, with most items containing an average of four or more pesticides per sample.
spinach
Kale, collards, mustard greens
strawberry
grapes
nectarine
peach
cherry
apple
blackberries
pear
potato
blueberry
Other vegetables found to have high levels of pesticide residues included green beans, bell peppers, and chili peppers.
‘Clean Fifteen’, fruits and vegetables found to be the safest
These fruits and vegetables were found to have the lowest levels of pesticide residues, with almost 60% having no detectable pesticide residues.
pineapple
sweet corn
avocado
papaya
onion
sweet pea
asparagus
cabbage
cauliflower
watermelon
mango
banana
carrot
mushroom
kiwi
Safety tips to avoid pesticides in produce
EWG recommends that consumers take the following safety precautions to reduce exposure to pesticides and chemicals.
If possible, buy organic versions of Dirty Dozen produce.
Choose more produce from Clean Fifteen.
Buy frozen foods if possible.
Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly before eating.
“A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is essential,” says Dayna de Montagnac, associate scientist at EWG. “The Shopper Guide enables families to continue receiving these important health benefits and make informed choices that reduce exposure to pesticides, especially for children, without sacrificing nutrition.”

more: Mega Millions jackpot winners can remain anonymous in these states
What is Mega Millions?
Mega Millions is a lottery that is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Each ticket costs $5, and players can choose six numbers from two different number pools: five different numbers from 1 to 70 (white balls) and one number from 1 to 24 (gold mega ball), or choose Easy Pick/Quick Pick.
If you match all six winning numbers in the drawing, you win the jackpot. If there are multiple jackpot winners, the jackpot prize will be shared.
How to play Mega Millions
To play Mega Millions, you must purchase a ticket. This can be done at several locations, including local convenience stores, gas stations, and grocery stores. In some states, you can purchase Mega Millions tickets online.
Once you have your ticket, you have to choose six numbers. Five of them are white balls numbered 1-70. The golden mega ball ranges from 1 to 24.
If you’re feeling particularly unlucky or don’t want to go through the hassle of picking, you can request a “quick pick” or “easy pick.” When you use these options, your computer randomly generates numbers.
Mega Millions tickets have built-in multipliers that increase your non-jackpot prize by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 times. Previously, players had to pay an extra dollar to add a “Megaplier”.

From ‘Big Citrus’ to ‘Waffle House’: The best nicknames for the 2026 NFL Draft
Not only is the 2026 NFL Draft class loaded with talent, but it’s also loaded with unforgettable nicknames. Ayrton Ostley introduces the best players.
It was clear at first glance that the new three-year contract Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce signed on March 23rd was largely a window-dressing, but the cost of that curtain is now becoming clear.
of maximum value Kelce’s contract is worth $57.7 million, which, if fully realized, would make the 36-year-old 14-time Pro Bowler the highest-paid player at the position from an AAV standpoint, surpassing fellow tight end co-founder George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers (average salary of $19.1 million).
Don’t bet.
We knew Kelce’s contract was a significant backload considering he was guaranteed to make $12 million in 2026 (another $3 million in incentives), but we now know how unlikely it is for Kelce to return in 2027, at least based on his current contract structure.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Kelce has a $40 million roster bonus – $40 million −For the 2028 season. Not only that, but the Chiefs have to pay it on June 8, 2027. So his contract is really only good for this season, and unless he gets a near-total overhaul of his contract at some point next year… it’s just as unlikely that he’ll play for a salary above $1 million as he is to receive that exorbitant bonus.
Travis Kelce by the numbers Contracts, revenue and statistics
None of this is indicative of Kelsey’s worth. Especially after a resurgent 2025 season, he once again led KC in receptions (76), receiving yards (851) and tied for most TD grabs (5). These numbers are perhaps especially impressive considering quarterback Patrick Mahomes was sidelined late in the season with an injury.
And while Kelce’s new financial arrangement may not actually look as good as it looks in the headlines, we love the curtains anyway, Trav!

Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) delivers tough news in NCIS’ 500th episode
Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) brings big news to episode 500 of NCIS, which airs March 24th.
Spoiler alert for the 500th episode of “NCIS” on March 24th!
Director Leon Vance literally left the NCIS building and went to heaven.
The 500th episode airing March 24 of CBS’ long-running crime show (now streaming on Paramount+), which spanned 18 seasons and 392 episodes, delivered a divine bombshell with the murder of NCIS boss Vance, played by classically trained actor and “Chicago Hope” star Rocky Carroll.
This powerful episode features the shooting death of a beloved leader and a surreal, imagined reunion between Vance and his former colleague, the late Chief Medical Examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard (Adam Campbell) in their younger years.
A mallard in a bow tie guides Vance to heaven and glows magically behind the assistant’s office door, usually next to the NCIS director.
Carroll, 62, told USA TODAY that he had an out-of-body experience when he learned Vance’s fate on the NCIS set in November when showrunner Stephen D. Binder knocked on his trailer door after a day of filming to discuss the 500th episode.
Binder explained that CBS and the show’s producers wanted to add some jolt to this milestone. The planned episode will see Vance fight a plot by a nefarious rival CID agency to shut down NCIS.
“All hope seemed lost, but fortunately Director Vance was able to get to the bottom of this plan and save the agency,” Carol recalls Binder telling her. “And in the process of saving the agency, he loses his life.”
Stunned, Carol immediately asks to rewind the “losing your life” section.
“I said, ‘Repeat that last part again,'” Carroll recalled. “I’m sitting there having an out-of-body experience, because I’ve been told that this episode is basically going to revolve around this character’s death, and I finally realized that I was just getting there.”
What will happen in the 500th episode of “NCIS”? Who will die?
Vance said Binder had “accomplished the mission” he had promised in trailer talk, and said the 500th episode would not only shake up the NCIS story, but would also be a “love letter” to the fallen Vance and a “real sendoff.”
So mission accomplished. In the episode titled “All Good Things,” Vance reconciles with his work-weary friend Supervising Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole), defuses a bomb in an NCIS evidence locker (pulling a dangerous wire!), and discovers that CID agent Dolan Thompson (Matt Cook) is a traitor. The discovery was too late, as Thompson pulled out a gun and fired three shots into Vance’s chest before being shot dead by arriving agents Parker and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray).
At first, Vance appeared to be saved by his bulletproof vest. However, an interrogation of Vance in his office by a mysterious agent reveals that the bureaucrat is not wearing a vest. And he is actually dead. The mysterious agent was revealed to be a young Ducky, one of the original “NCIS” characters played by Scottish actor David McCallum, who died in September 2023 during Vance’s tenure.
Campbell, who played Young Ducky on NCIS: Origins, explains that one of the “perks” of being in heaven is looking younger.
Before disappearing, Ducky points out that Vance’s next destination is a light shining through the assistant’s door. There’s a tear-jerking montage of past “NCIS” moments before Vance goes solo into the light. He hears his beloved wife Jackie (Paula Newsome), who was assassinated in season 6, call out to her husband as he arrives: “Hey, baby.” Vance’s death also saves the NCIS agency, and Parker comes out of retirement to restart it. The final victory.
Filming this episode was “bittersweet,” Carroll said, leaving her feeling emotional for her performance. “Once the cameras started rolling, it was like, ‘We have a job to do,'” he says.
Although it took months for her to make a decision, Carol is now relieved to leave the role after a long stint on NCIS, which began in 2008.
Carol is grateful for the rare experience of appearing on the long-running show, saying, “I had time to come to terms with it. I found out about it in November.” “If this had happened in my third season, it would have been devastating. But season 18 is rarefied air. If someone offered me a role on NCIS and said something bad was going to happen in season 18, there’s not an actor on the planet who wouldn’t say, ‘Who do I sign with?'” That’s the equivalent of living to 105. ”
Carroll, who directed 25 episodes of NCIS, will return to direct the next season’s 24 episodes.
“We’ve been around for over 20 years, but this version of our relationship with the show has come to an end,” Carroll says. “Once the smoke clears, I’ll be back to direct the episode in a month. It’s not as final as you might think.”
Carroll’s plan for this episode included seeing it live at a private screening for unsuspecting Screen Actors Guild members.
“The lights come on in the house and we end up doing a Q&A with 150 stunned faces,” Carol says. “They’ll probably say, ‘What the hell happened?'” I’m very proud of this episode. It celebrates nearly 20 years of working on one of the most beloved shows in television history. ”
The actor is scheduled to appear on “CBS Morning” with Gayle King on March 25th.
“The funny thing about dying on TV is that in real life you can come back on TV the next day and talk about it,” Carroll says.
Lower employment numbers and higher inflation worsen economists’ view
A negative employment report for February amid the escalating conflict with Iran has added to the already worrying outlook for the US economy.
These days, say the word “inflation” in a crowded room and you tend to get mixed reactions. Unfortunately, the reality is that stubborn inflation has been hurting consumers for years. But while inflation can be a problem across the board, it tends to hit retirees particularly hard.
Even with no income, inflation is more than just a nuisance. In fact, it can cause significant financial stress.
The good news is that there are steps you can take to protect yourself from inflation even in retirement. Here are some strategies to consider.
1. Delay in social security
Social Security is designed to keep up with inflation. Each year, your benefits are subject to a cost of living adjustment (COLA).
Unfortunately, these COLAs tend to fail because they are based on broad-based inflation rather than senior-specific inflation. However, if you delay claiming Social Security beyond your full retirement age, your check could increase by 8% for each time you wait until age 70.
Starting with a larger guaranteed benefit will put much less pressure on your portfolio. Also, if you start with a larger baseline, each COLA you get should be worth more.
2. Don’t be too conservative with your investments
Once you retire, it’s natural to want to de-risk your portfolio. But if you invest too conservatively, your portfolio may not be able to keep up with inflation.
As a retiree, it’s generally not the best idea to have more than 90% of your assets in stocks, but it might be a good idea to have, say, 60% or 50% of your portfolio in the stock market. That way, you won’t be completely exposed to volatility, but a significant portion of your assets could be set up to generate strong returns that help you maintain your purchasing power.
3. Be flexible with your spending and withdrawal strategies
Many people decide to withdraw the same amount from their savings regardless of market performance. Sticking to that approach could mean locking in big losses when the market goes down. This not only risks running out of funds, but may also make it difficult to keep up with rising costs in the long run.
Do you have any better ideas? Be flexible with your spending to reduce the amount you withdraw from your portfolio when asset values decline.
Also, be proactive in adjusting your spending during periods of particularly high inflation. Prioritize necessities and limit discretionary spending until the situation calms down.
Inflation is something all retirees need to be aware of. But that doesn’t mean you should fear it or ruin your senior years. With the right strategy, you can beat inflation and enjoy your retirement to the fullest.

North Carolina State Basketball is looking for a new head coach.
Hubert Davis did not return to the Tar Heels, and the coach left just days after their stunning collapse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
“Tonight, I was fired by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My hope was to continue coaching here, and this opportunity was truly a blessing,” Davis said in a statement.
Davis’ time in Chapel Hill ended with a 125-54 record and one Final Four appearance in five seasons. According to Davis’ contract obtained by the USA TODAY Network, North Carolina State is obligated to pay him $5.312 million in exchange for terminating him on April 1.
UNC basketball coaching candidates: Who will replace Hubert Davis? Expect big name links
Discussion: Why Todd Golden and Nate Oats should (and shouldn’t) consider UNC
“We are grateful for everything Hubert has done for Carolina as a player, assistant coach, head coach and community leader. He helped create special memories that we will never forget,” UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham said in a statement announcing Davis’ firing. “This was not an easy decision given Hubert’s great personality and all he has given to the program, but we must move forward to help our team compete more consistently at an elite level.”
The firing marks a harsh end to Davis’ tenure, which got off to such a promising start. In his first season at his alma mater, succeeding Roy Williams, he led the Tar Heels to the 2022 national championship game as the No. 8 seed. However, UNC was unable to maintain a double-digit lead against Kansas in this contest.
This was the beginning of Davis’s meteoric rise that seemed to keep the blue bloods as a national power, but North Carolina hasn’t come close since. They started the following season as the No. 1 team in the country, but ended up missing out on the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.
opinion: It’s time to find out how serious UNC is about basketball. Pick up Todd Golden
The University of North Carolina advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2024, but lost in the first round in each of its past two tournaments, the first time in program history. Against VCU on Thursday, March 19, the Tar Heels surrendered a 19-point lead as the Rams forced overtime, but UNC failed to make a field goal in overtime and ultimately lost to the No. 11 seed.
This was the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament first-round history.
Now, the University of North Carolina begins one of the most interesting investigations in all of college basketball.
Davis was an assistant on Williams’ staff for nine seasons before being named head coach and was the top candidate to take the job when Williams retired. With Davis only on the roster for five seasons, North Carolina will have to decide whether to move outside of the “Carolina family” (people with past ties to the program) or make a big hire.
“Hubert truly cared about our university, and it was so inspiring to see him instill that love and Tar Heel tradition in the players he coached. President Roberts, Bubba and I join everyone in the Carolina community in thanking Hubert and his family for all they have done for UNC,” Executive Associate Athletic Director Steve Newmark said in a statement.
Davis said his goal is to coach again “in the near future.”
The job is considered one of the most high-profile roles in all of sports, and with a rich tradition, large fan base, and extensive resources, coaches have everything they need to succeed. However, this also comes with a lot of pressure as they are expected to be a national championship candidate every year. The 10-season drought since the last national championship is the longest drought of this century.
Whoever North Carolina State hires will have a huge ripple effect throughout the college basketball world.
North Carolina announced that it would honor the terms of Davis’ contract, meaning he would be acquired. According to Davis’ contract obtained by the USA TODAY Network, North Carolina State would be obligated to pay Davis $5.312 million if he is fired on April 1st.
The biggest surprises of March Madness opening weekend
The opening weekend of March Madness brought some big surprises, with underdogs advancing and higher seeds facing early challenges.
March Madness is well underway, and fans may be looking for the perfect halftime snack.
The NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments run through Monday, April 6, and several national restaurant chains are offering basketball-centric meals and giveaways. ICE agents dispatched to airports as TSA shortage worsens
Travelers are facing long lines at TSA as ICE officers are deployed to airports during the partial government shutdown.
As the partial government shutdown continues to disrupt the nation’s airports, Delta Air Lines announced on Tuesday, March 24, that it will suspend special service for members of Congress.
The partial shutdown, which began in mid-February, affected the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees the Transportation Security Administration.
“Due to the impact on resources from the long-standing government shutdown, Delta Air Lines is temporarily suspending special services to members of Congress who fly Delta,” the airline said in a statement to USA TODAY. “Next to safety, Delta’s top priority is caring for our employees and customers, which is becoming increasingly difficult in the current environment.”
The government shutdown has also led to a significant increase in calls from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), as employees have been working without regular pay for more than a month. Travelers are enduring long waits at security checkpoints at U.S. airports due to staffing shortages. Federal officials said more than 400 TSA employees have resigned since the shutdown began.
Here’s what you need to know:
What perks are MPs losing?
Like other U.S. airlines, Delta Air Lines offers special service to members of Congress who frequently travel to and from Washington, DC.
Delta Air Lines says members of Congress will no longer receive special airport escorts or VIP treatment for services such as upgrades and rebookings. Delta Air Lines said members of Congress will be treated like other passengers based on their SkyMiles loyalty status.
Lawmakers will still have access to the Capital Desk, Delta’s special phone line for ticket reservations.
In an interview with CNBC, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian called on the government to resume paying TSA workers.
“It is unacceptable that frontline security personnel, who are at the heart of our operations, are not paid. It is ridiculous that they are being used as political material. We are outraged,” he said.

Do you want a comprehensive and complete home warranty, or a budget-friendly option that covers the basics? That’s what you need to decide when comparing Choice Home Insurance and American Home Shield.
In this guide, we compare Choice Home Warranty and American Home Shield, analyzing plans, coverage, costs, and customer experience to help you choose the right home warranty for your home.
Which is right for you: American Home Shield or Choice Home Insurance?
American Home Shield and Choice HomeWarranty both offer great coverage, but the difference is in the level of coverage and cost. AHS is more comprehensive, with member benefits to help you maintain your home systems and appliances. Still, Choice offers more affordable plans with higher coverage limits.
It becomes your priority. If you want complete peace of mind, American Home Shield is the way to go. But if you want coverage without spending a lot of money, Choice Home Insurance is a great option.
Overview of Choice Home Insurance and American Home Shield
American Home Shield and Choice HomeWarranty are both well-known names in the home warranty industry, but they cater to a variety of homeowner priorities.
American Home Shield (AHS) offers three tiered plans with unique benefits such as extensive coverage, higher coverage limits, and protection against unknown pre-existing conditions and statutory violations. Its ShieldPlatinum plan adds benefits like roof leak coverage and HVAC tune-ups, making AHS a great choice for homeowners looking for comprehensive protection. However, these benefits come at a high monthly fee, and service fees may vary depending on plan customization.
Choice HomeWarranty (CHW), on the other hand, focuses on affordability and simplicity. With just two plan options, the Basic Plan and the Total Plan, CHW provides important coverage at nearly half the cost of AHS’s top plan. Although there are no premium benefits and strict exclusions, the low price and wide range of add-ons make it attractive to budget-conscious homeowners.

Compare Choice Home Warranty and American Home Shield plans and coverage
Plan options
American Home Shield offers homeowners three plans to choose from: a system plan, an appliance plan, and a combo plan. These options make it easy to choose the coverage you need for your home.
Shield silver: 19 home systems (heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing systems).
shield gold: 28 home systems and appliances (ShieldSilver and kitchen and laundry appliances);
Shield Platinum: Includes 28 home systems and appliances, plus leaky roof repair, free HVAC tune-ups, violations and permits, and other member benefits.
Choice HomeWarranty only offers two plan options: a basic plan that includes most home systems, and a more comprehensive plan that covers everything. Basic plans don’t include common coverage items like refrigerators and washers/dryers, so most homeowners end up choosing a more comprehensive plan just to cover that appliance.
Basic plan: Includes heating system, electrical system, plumbing system/stops, water heater, whirlpool bathtub, oven/range/stove, cooktop, built-in microwave, garbage disposal, ductwork, garage door opener, ceiling/exhaust fan.
Total plan: Includes everything in the basic plan plus air conditioning, refrigerator, and washer/dryer.
Add-on options
Because American Home Shield’s plans cover so much, they don’t offer many add-ons. With ShieldPlatinum, you get $1,000 of roof leak protection, which must be added separately to lower-tier plans. Other add-ons for American Home Shield include:
Electronic equipment protection plan
Pool and built-in spa facilities
guest unit
septic tank pump
well pump
Choice HomeWarranty has 11 add-ons that further enhance your ability to customize your home warranty plan. The company’s add-on options are similar to those offered by most other home warranty providers, and at $3.33 to $15 per month, it’s more affordable than American Home Shield.
Pool/spa equipment
Limited roof leakage
additional spa
freestanding freezer
central vacuum
sprinkler system
second refrigerator
well pump
purification system
drain pump
Septic tank pumping

Coverage limitations
Both American Home Shield and Choice HomeWarranty have competitive coverage limits that are higher than most other providers’ limits. Typically, you would expect coverage limits to be around $2,000 for appliances and about the same for systems, but both of these providers exceed that.
The main difference between the two home warranty companies is the total (annual) coverage limit. Choice has no actual annual limit. Instead, each eligible item is subject to a $3,000 limit. This means you can claim compensation for every item under your contract and don’t have to worry about overall compensation caps.
With a $50,000 limit, American Home Shield has the highest annual coverage limits in the home warranty industry. Although this total applies to all claims, it is still unlikely to reach this total within a 12-month period.
Exclusions
American Home Shield’s claim to fame is that it covers unknown pre-existing conditions. This means that if you have a problem with either your system or appliance that you didn’t know about before coverage began, you can still file a claim. The Choice Home warranty doesn’t have that luxury.
If you choose American Home Shield’s ShieldPlatinum plan, you also get $250 for code violations, permits, and changes, which Choice excludes. Beyond these differences, you can expect typical exclusions from both of these providers.
Both providers require you to wait 30 days before you can file a claim.

Compare the costs of Choice Home Warranty and American Home Shield
planned cost
Choice Home Insurance is a more affordable home warranty than American Home Shield, especially in its top-tier coverage. In fact, with Choice, you get complete appliance and system coverage for almost half the cost. Even the Choice HomeWarranty add-on isn’t half the cost of American Home Shield, or even cheaper.
However, you get what you pay for. Choice’s total plan is more budget-friendly but comes with only 19 home systems and appliances, while American Home Shield’s ShieldPlatinum comes with 28 home systems and appliances, plus about a dozen additional member benefits.

Service call fee
American Home Shield and Choice HomeWarranty both have a $100 service fee option, so they’re comparable in this regard. However, while Choice automatically charges this call charge, AHS only offers it if you are willing to pay an additional $10 per month. With American Home Shield’s promotional pricing, there is a hefty $125 service fee for each home warranty claim.
discount options
In addition to seasonal promotions, American Home Shield offers discounts for active military and veterans, AARP members, and those seeking multi-property coverage.
Choice HomeWarranty has seasonal promotions and sales, making it difficult to purchase a home warranty without automatic discounts. If you’re lucky, you might get a monthly discount for the first year, locking in your service calls as low as $45. That’s $30 less than the industry average.
Choice Home Warranty and American Home Shield Claims Process
American Home Shield offers flexibility in the claims process and faster response times. Choice Home Insurance, on the other hand, has a simpler, lower-cost structure, but with more stringent maintenance requirements.
Both providers offer 24/7 online claims processing, but the experience is slightly different.
American Home Shield:
Claims can be made online or by phone.
AHS typically assigns a contractor within 24 hours.
You can track your claim status through the AHS portal.
Service call costs range from $100 to $125 depending on your plan and options selected.
Choice Home Warranty:
Claims are made online or by phone.
CHW typically dispatches a technician within 48 hours.
Service call fee is fixed at $100
CHW requires you to report problems promptly and may deny claims of improper maintenance.
Homeowner reviews of Choice Home Insurance and American Home Shield
As is often the case in the home warranty industry, customer feedback for both companies is mixed. American Home Shield is generally praised for its comprehensive coverage and flexibility. However, some customers report occasional delays in contractor response. This issue may vary by location.
Choice HomeWarranty, on the other hand, is praised for its affordable prices and easy-to-understand plans that appeal to homeowners on a budget. Still, reviews often mention stricter exclusions and slower claim processing during peak periods, which can mean longer repairs to your home systems and appliances.

President Trump says Iran war will end soon, but it’s unlikely to end this week
“It’s coming soon.” President Donald Trump said the war with Iran is unlikely to end this week, but “it won’t be for long.”
According to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, President Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 36%, the lowest level since returning to the White House.
The poll cited rising gas and food prices as well as the Iran war as the main reason for the decline.
Only 25% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the cost of living, a key initiative during the 2024 presidential campaign.
Although his overall approval ratings have declined, Trump’s standing within the Republican Party remains strong.
President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest level since returning to the White House, as rising gas and food prices hit Americans hard and the public grows increasingly disgusted with the Iran war, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.
A weekly poll released on March 24 found that 36% of Americans approve of President Trump’s job performance, down 4 points (40%) from a similar Reuters poll conducted last week.
Most Americans appear angry with the president, as food and gasoline prices have soared since the joint U.S.-Israel attack on Iran in early February 28th. The latest Reuters poll found that 25% of people approve of Trump’s response to the current cost of living, a centerpiece of his 2024 presidential campaign.
The US-Israel war on Iran is controversial among Americans, with similar national polls showing that about half of voters disapprove of President Trump’s handling of the war or military action in Iran in general. According to a new poll, President Trump’s approval rating was 47% when he first took office, but has hovered around 40% since last summer.
The president’s continued low approval ratings could be worrying for Republicans as they seek to maintain control of Congress after all critical midterm election votes are cast in November.
The latest Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that Trump’s position within the Republican Party remains strong with the midterm primaries already underway. About 1 in 5 Republicans say they disapprove of the president’s overall performance in the White House, a slight change from about 1 in 7 in last week’s poll.
However, the share of Republicans surveyed who disapprove of President Trump’s handling of the cost of living rose to 34% from 27% last week. The new weekly Reuters/Ipsos online poll was conducted March 20-23 among 1,272 U.S. adults and has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
US to send more troops to Middle East: Iran war live updates.
Poll shows war still weighs heavily on Americans’ minds
The Iran war, now in its fourth week, continues to weigh heavily on the minds of most Americans, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The poll found that 35% of Americans support attacking Iran, down from 37% in a similar poll conducted last week. These numbers remain higher than the first Reuters/Ipsos poll on the Iran war conducted from February 28 to March 1. The poll found that 27% of Americans supported the attack, 43% disapproved, and 29% were unsure at the time.
Overall, about 61% of those surveyed disapproved of the strike, up from 59% who disapproved of it in last week’s poll.
Despite President Trump’s decline in overall popularity, 38% of registered voters surveyed said Republicans are doing a better job of managing the U.S. economy, compared to 34% of voters who chose Democrats on this topic.
Investing in precious metals can help you diversify your portfolio and support your long-term retirement strategy. However, buying gold or silver isn’t as easy as buying stocks, so it’s important to work with a trusted dealer.
Augusta Precious Metals and American Hartford Gold are two well-known companies in the precious metals space. Both offer support for gold and silver purchases and precious metals IRAs. However, limited price transparency across the industry can make it difficult to compare providers.
To clarify the differences, this guide will break down Augusta and American Hartford Gold into fees, services, and investor considerations.
American Hartford Gold vs. Augusta Precious Metals Overview
Augusta Precious Metals and American Hartford Gold are established providers of precious metals IRA services. Both companies support 401(k) and IRA rollovers to physical gold and silver, as well as direct purchases of bullion for home delivery or third-party storage. We can also help you coordinate key steps in the process, such as working with your custodian or IRS-approved depository to handle storage and compliance requirements.
Although Augusta focuses solely on gold and silver, American Hartford Gold also carries platinum and palladium. American Hartford Gold also has a low minimum investment amount, which can make it more accessible to new investors and those on a tight budget.
Both companies emphasize customer support, but their approaches are different. American Hartford Gold focuses on market guides and ongoing support, while Augusta offers a more structured educational experience, including one-on-one web conferences led by Education Director Devlyn Steele.
In general, Augusta may appeal to investors who prioritize education and a guided experience, while American Hartford Gold may be better suited to investors seeking a lower entry point and broader metal options.

American Hartford Gold Overview
American Hartford Gold is a family-owned company founded in 2015 by Sanford Mann and based in Los Angeles, California. The company offers gold, silver, platinum, and palladium through both precious metals IRAs and direct cash purchases for delivery or storage.
Compared to some of its competitors, American Hartford Gold typically has lower minimum investment amounts and a wider range of metals, which can make it more accessible to new investors and those on a tight budget.
American Hartford Gold has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and is listed on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Overview of Augusta Precious Metals
Augusta Precious Metals was founded in 2012 by Isaac Nuriani and is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. The company focuses exclusively on gold and silver, offering both direct purchases and support for precious metals IRAs.
Augusta has a strong focus on investor education, including a free Gold & Silver web conference led by Director of Education Devlin Steele. This approach may appeal to investors seeking a more guided and information-driven experience when entering the precious metals market.
Augusta Precious Metals has earned an A+ rating from the BBB, reflecting the company’s standing in customer review agencies.
American Hartford Gold vs. Augusta Precious Metals: Fee and Price Transparency
Precious metals dealers typically do not publish exact prices or markups. The total cost of buying gold or silver depends largely on the dealer spread, or the difference between the market (spot) price and the amount you pay. Spreads vary depending on purchase amount and current market conditions.
Like most dealers, Augusta Precious Metals and American Hartford Gold do not post real-time product prices online. You must contact each company directly to obtain an accurate quote.
It is also important to distinguish between dealer markups and IRA-related fees. Markups apply to the metal itself, while IRA fees apply to account setup, management, and storage through a third-party custodian or custodian.
Both companies are relatively transparent about IRA-related costs. These are typically flat annual fees, making costs more predictable, especially for larger accounts.
In general, Augusta’s higher minimum investment amount may be attractive to investors with larger portfolios, while American Hartford Gold’s lower entry point may be more accessible to beginners.
Both companies may offer promotions such as commission discounts and silver bonuses, but these offers change over time and are typically discussed during the quote process.
American Hartford Gold vs. Augusta Precious Metals: reputation and customer reviews
Augusta Precious Metals and American Hartford Gold are both established companies in the gold investment space. This industry can attract misleading marketing and fraud, so working with a reputable dealer is an important part of the process.
Both companies have an A+ rating from the BBB. On Trustpilot, Augusta Precious Metals has an average rating of approximately 4.8 out of 5 stars, while American Hartford Gold has an average rating of approximately 4.6 out of 5 stars.
Both companies are highly regarded, but differences in service style and pricing can have a bigger impact on your experience than review scores alone. Like other review platforms, ratings are based on customer feedback and may not reflect the experience of all investors, but they do provide a useful snapshot when comparing providers.
American Hartford Gold vs. Augusta Precious Metals: Which is Right for You?
Augusta Precious Metals and American Hartford Gold both offer full-service support for purchasing physical metals and setting up a gold IRA. Which is more appropriate depends on your investment size, product preferences, and how much guidance you need during the process.
American Hartford Gold May Appeal to Investors Seeking a Lower Entry Point and a Wider Choice of Metals. With low minimums and availability in platinum and palladium, it can be a practical option for those starting with a lower allocation or looking for more flexibility.
Augusta Precious Metals may be better suited for investors with larger portfolios People who want a more education-focused, guided experience. Its high minimum investment amount and focus on gold and silver may appeal to those who prioritize structured support and a more hands-on approach.
Points to note when choosing a precious metals purchasing company
When purchasing physical gold or silver, you typically need to work with a precious metals dealer. These deals include logistics, storage and regulatory requirements, which dealers can help coordinate. Although many reputable companies operate in this field, it is important to compare key factors before making a decision.
Pricing transparency: You don’t pay spot prices for precious metals, and most dealers don’t disclose markups. However, a reputable provider should clearly explain their pricing, including spreads and commissions, when requesting a quote.
Storage method: Precious metals IRAs require storage in an IRS-approved storage location, which is typically arranged through a third party. Before you buy, make sure the dealer works with an established facility like Brink’s or Delaware Depository.
Customer support: Quality of service may vary. In addition to guides like this one, check out reviews on platforms like BBB and Trustpilot and consider recommendations from people you trust.
Minimum investment threshold: Some dealers require significantly higher minimum investments than others. Understanding these thresholds can help you narrow down your choices based on your budget and investment goals.
Buyback policy: Most dealers offer buyback programs, but terms may vary. Ask about the bid-ask spread (the difference between what you pay and what the dealer will offer you to buy back the metal). This is because it affects potential exit costs.
conclusion
Augusta Precious Metals and American Hartford Gold offer similar core services but cater to different types of investors. Augusta Precious Metals may be a good fit for those with large portfolios who want a more education-focused, guided experience. American Hartford Gold may be attractive to investors seeking a lower floor price, broader metal options, and more accessible entry point.
Before choosing a dealer, it’s worth comparing multiple providers to understand the differences in price, service, and investment requirements. Seeing quotes from multiple companies will help you make a more informed decision.

ICE agents dispatched to airports as TSA shortage worsens
Travelers are facing long lines at TSA as ICE officers are deployed to airports during the partial government shutdown.
Transportation Security Administration employees remain unpaid and on the front lines of airport security during the partial shutdown, with President Donald Trump on Monday, March 23, ordering Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to enter airports across the country.
Photos and videos of ICE officers at the airport quickly spread on social media, prompting criticism that immigration agents continue to receive paychecks while TSA officers have not received their full paychecks since late February.
TSA employees have already missed one paycheck since the shutdown began on February 14th, and are scheduled to miss another paycheck on March 27th. In contrast, ICE officers continue to receive regular paychecks because they are classified as essential personnel within the Department of Homeland Security.
more: Key senators say deal to end DHS shutdown may be within reach
Why is ICE funded but TSA not?
Republican lawmakers last year passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which funds immigration enforcement through 2029. The bill would provide $170 billion to ICE, more than double DHS’s annual discretionary budget, and allow the agency to continue paying its employees during the shutdown.
DHS said in an emailed statement that pay disparities are contributing to staffing challenges, with more than 400 TSA employees resigning and thousands taking time off work because they can’t afford basic expenses like gas, child care, food and rent.
The agency said ICE’s continued presence “will help strengthen TSA’s efforts to keep our skies safe and minimize disruption to air travel,” but the decision has drawn criticism from TSA employees and their unions.
Everett Kelly, president of the American Federation of Government Employees, which represents TSA officers, denounced the move in a news release, arguing that ICE officers are not trained or certified in aviation security.
“TSA officers spend months learning how to detect explosives, weapons, and threats specifically designed to evade detection at checkpoints. These skills require specialized instruction, on-the-job training, and ongoing recertification,” Kelly said.
“You can’t improvise that,” Kelly added. “Putting untrained personnel at security checkpoints doesn’t close the gap; it creates a gap.”
When will TSA funding be reinstated?
Lawmakers said Tuesday, March 24, that momentum is building for a deal to end the nearly six-week Department of Homeland Security shutdown before Congress goes on spring break on March 30, even though President Trump said he was not satisfied with “very little” of what lawmakers would negotiate.

Miley Cyrus reflects on her ‘Hannah Montana’ casting journey
Miley Cyrus is thanking Disney for giving her the “chance” to star in Hannah Montana as the show celebrates its 20th anniversary with a new special.
Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus welcomed his daughter Miley as a guest on Tuesday’s Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. It would be an unlikely reunion for fans, given the headlines about family feuds in recent years.
In an in-depth interview with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper about the series’ most epic moments, Miley Cyrus also talked about growing up alongside stars like Dylan Sprouse, Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez, but the reunion of one of Hollywood’s most famous father-daughter duos resonated.
Miley Cyrus said, “I’m really excited to have him here because I know how much our relationship means to everyone who watches this show.” “I think it makes people feel better when my dad and I get along. When the Cyrus family gets along, it just makes them feel better.”
From 2006 to 2011, the father-daughter pair gained attention when they starred in the hit Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana,” which catapulted Miley Cyrus to superstar status. However, the two had a rift after the show ended.
The family relationship was further complicated by Billy Ray’s divorce from Miley’s mother Tish Cyrus in April 2022 and subsequent marriage to Dominic Purcell in August 2023. That same year, rumors swirled that there was a rift between her sister Noah Cyrus and their mother Tish.
Miley’s brother, Trace Cyrus, expressed concern for Billy Ray’s well-being in an Instagram post on January 22, 2025, writing, “Sadly, the man I desperately wanted is now almost unrecognizable.”
For many fans who grew up on the show as children and are now adults, the ups and downs of the Cyrus family reflect a more universal experience of the emotional toll of family conflict and the complicated ways that rift can leave a lasting impact on mental health.
The burden of family drama on mental health
Families can break up for various reasons. A marriage that some members don’t approve of, an unresolved feud, and drug abuse that hurts people in its wake. Family drama, whatever the cause, can be hurtful for countless reasons.
“Research suggests that the same parts of the brain that process physical pain also process emotional pain,” psychotherapist Chelsea Cole previously told USA TODAY.
Therapist Gregorio Lozano III says that the pain of being abandoned by one’s family is fundamental, originating from humanity’s earliest ancestors. It can be stressful and upsetting, both for the person who has decided to cut off contact with a particular family member, and especially for the person on the receiving end of the action.
“When I experienced rejection from my tribe, it meant a life-or-death situation,” he says. “Those aspects are gone now, but the psychological trauma that can result from that is still there.”
For many people, family is a core part of their identity. When someone is disowned or estranged from their family, that person’s self-esteem and self-worth can be damaged.
“So much of our identity is tied to family: ‘Who are my parents? What kind of family do I come from? What do we believe?'” Cole says. “When there is discord, rift, and rift in families, it affects people to the core.”

What do Miley and Billy Ray say about the impact ‘Hannah Montana’ has had on their family?
Miley Cyrus has long credited her father for helping and watching her become a star as a teenager, and expressed gratitude that her family didn’t put any financial pressure on her.
Following the release of the 2024 documentary Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, the pitfalls of being a child star are once again in the spotlight. The documentary details the allegedly toxic and abusive environment in which some of Nickelodeon’s biggest child actors worked.
“My dad was on set every day,” Miley Cyrus told Variety in a cover story leading up to the Disney series special. “So nothing happened that he didn’t know about.”
However, it is certain that this program placed a heavy burden on the family.
In a 2011 interview with GQ, Billy Ray Cyrus said the show “destroyed” his family and wished it had never happened.
“I hate to say it, but I’m going to say it. Yes, I’m going to take it off right now. It would have been great if my family was here and everyone was safe and safe and sound and happy and normal. Yeah, I’d take it all off in one second if I could,” he told the magazine.
That unique reality is something Miley Cyrus touched on in a special.
Miley Cyrus told Alex Cooper, “I don’t know if our reality would have been the same, for better or worse, without the show.” “No family can really go through what we went through.”
How to recover from a broken family
Family drama is normal to a certain extent, but there may come a time when the problem becomes too complex to ignore. If you are suffering from the pain of family drama, therapists offer the following advice:
seek therapy. Fractures in the family can lead to several mental health issues, which are best treated by a professional.
feel how you feel. Lozano said acknowledging your emotions can be healthier than suppressing them. “What we do with those emotions is what matters.”
Build an identity outside of the family. Finding passions, hobbies, community, and values outside of your family can help build self-esteem and self-efficacy, Cole says.
Consider how family rifts affect other relationships. Psychiatrist Dr. Dion Metzger said it’s important to assess how the emotions caused by a broken family relationship are affecting other relationships. “When you have problems within your family and feel left out, it affects how you approach relationships, romantic relationships, and friendships,” she says.
Find a healthy relationship: Cole emphasized the importance for people whose families have been disrupted to “find other healthy relationships where they feel seen, appreciated, supported and connected.”

‘KPop Demon Hunters’ sequel is officially in production on Netflix
The sequel to “KPop Demon Hunters” is officially in production with directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans returning to helm the animated sequel.
The KPop battle between Hunter/X and Saja Boys is coming to McDonald’s.
The fast food giant will start serving two meals inspired by the Netflix movie “KPop Demon Hunters” starting March 31st.
Each meal includes a collectible card pack with an art photocard featuring either Huntr/X or Saja Boys and a Derpy the Tiger access card with a QR code to unlock exclusive content via the McDonald’s app. According to a McDonald’s news release, it’s a “special look at the group that won the fight for their fans.”
The animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” tells the story of the Korean pop girl group Huntr/X, who fight demons through music. The Saja Boys, a boy band made up of demons, attempt to thwart the mission. The soundtrack was a hit, and the film won two Oscars for the song “Golden” and for Best Animated Film. A sequel is also in the works.
Starbucks: A review of the new Hannah Montana secret menu. How to order.
“With the help of McDonald’s, we were able to bring the rivalry between Saja Boyz and Hunter/X to life for fans, drawing inspiration from the Korean cultural and food traditions at the heart of the film,” Netflix chief marketing officer Marian Lee said in a news release.
What’s in McDonald’s KPop Demon Hunters meal?
Starting Tuesday, March 31, McDonald’s will begin offering the Hunter/X meal featuring McNuggets and the Saja Boys breakfast meal, which comes with a spicy Saja McMuffin. The contents of each meal are as follows:
Hunter/X’s Meal: Order 10 Ramillon McShaker fries with chicken McNuggets, medium soft drink, and a soy, garlic, sesame, and spice flavor inspired by Rumi, Mila, and Zoe’s go-to noodle snack. Sprinkle the seasoning in a Mac shaker bag, add the fries and shake to distribute the seasoning on the fries. The meal also comes with Hunter Sauce, which is described as a “sweet chili sauce with a hint of chilli, garlic, and pepper for just the right amount of heat,” and Demon Sauce, which is “a bold mustard sauce with heat and spiciness, finished in a devilish purple color.”
Saja Boys breakfast meals: The egg sausage McMuffin is topped with a tangy and spicy saja sauce. It also comes with hash browns and a small soft drink.
“Every detail, from the Ramyeon McShaker fries to the Demon Sauce paired with the soda pop, is designed to look like it came straight out of a movie scene,” said Netflix’s Lee.
What is McDonald’s new “KPop Demon Hunter” McFlurry?
McDonald’s also has a new dessert flavor inspired by Derpy the Tiger, who also appeared in the animated movie. Derpy McFlurry is a blend of creamy vanilla soft serve and berry popping pearls with wild berry sauce.
“Big things happen when you bring two huge fandoms together, and this partnership was a natural fit,” Alyssa Butikofer, McDonald’s chief marketing and customer experience officer, said in a news release. “We found an authentic way to invite Hunter/X and Saja Boys fans into the rivalry and unite our iconic worlds in a way that is unmistakably true to the movie and to McDonald’s.”
