The 2025 Kentucky Derby, a historic event for horse racing enthusiasts, has arrived at the prestigious Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Now we are waiting to see out of the 19 horse fields, decorated with rose wreaths.

With the fiercely competitive lineup of Rose’s 151st run, journalism has emerged as an early favourite with a 4-1 odds. Michael McCarthy-trained journalism has won the Kentucky Derby for four consecutive times, with Sandman closely following the odds of 5-1. The lineup also features Luxor Cafe, the son of 2015 Triple Crown winner, American Pharaoh. Despite being considered a long shot at odds of 15-1, his honorable pedigree is sure to attract attention. Only 13 horses have won the Triple Crown.
