National Cheesecake Day is Thursday, July 30th, and some restaurant chains are celebrating with some sweet deals for their customers.
According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, National Cheesecake Day was established in 1985. However, the roots of the dessert itself go back to ancient Greece. These early Greek cakes, called plakos, which translates to “flat cake,” were made of crumbled cheese mixed with flour and honey and baked on a griddle.
Many local bakeries and restaurants will be offering sales, so be sure to check in your area. Here’s what you need to know about the sale the chain is offering to celebrate the sweet treat.
