Family members and members of Congress gathered in the Capitol Rotunda to pay their respects to the late Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Parking restrictions and road closures will be in place on dozens of streets in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday and Wednesday for the funeral of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Vice President J.D. Vance attended a ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda on Tuesday with many other politicians, and President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a eulogy for Mr. Graham at the National Cathedral in Washington at 2 p.m.
Multiple locations will be used for the day’s events, and the Metropolitan Police Department said many roads will be affected as Graham’s casket is transported to South Carolina on Wednesday.
Most closures will last until Tuesday, while others will last until the end of Wednesday.

Police announced that the following streets will be closed to traffic until the following day: Wednesday 11:59pm:
• Pennsylvania Avenue, from 18th Street NW to 17th Street
• 17th Street to New York Avenue to K Street N.W.
• H Street from 18th Street to Vermont Avenue NW.
• 16th Street from I Street to H Street NW.
Road closures may occur intermittently on the following streets: Tuesday 8pm:
• Woodley Road from Wisconsin Avenue to 34th Street NW.
• Wisconsin Avenue from Lowell Street to Massachusetts Avenue N.W.
These streets will be closed to traffic until: Tuesday 5pm:
• Garfield Street, from Massachusetts Avenue NW to 34th Street NW.
• 34th Street from Woodley Road to Garfield Street, N.W.
• Woodley Road from Wisconsin Avenue to 34th Street NW.
• Wisconsin Avenue from Lowell Street to Massachusetts Avenue N.W.
• Cathedral Street from Massachusetts Avenue to Wisconsin Avenue, N.W.
Only local traffic is permitted on the following roads: Tuesday 5pm:
• Woodland Drive from Garfield Street to Northwest 32nd Street.
• 33rd location from Cathedral Avenue to Garfield Street, N.W.

Police said anyone who parks in an area with a No Emergency Parking sign will be ticketed and towed.
Drivers may not park on the following roads: Wednesday 11:59pm:
