What do the new tariffs mean for consumers?
President Donald Trump has imposed new tariffs ranging from 10% to 12.5% on imports from more than 80 countries. The new tariffs took effect at the same time as the old tariffs expired. That is the 10% worldwide import tax imposed in February after the Supreme Court invalidated President Trump’s 2025 tariffs.
