Bon Jovi may need some good medicine after abruptly ending their July 23 show in New York.

The band cut their Madison Square Garden show short to about 90 minutes and 14 songs because frontman Jon Bon Jovi is battling a sinus infection. The singing icon welcomed Train’s Pat Monaghan to perform her timeless anthem ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ before telling the crowd why she decided to cut her show short.

A representative for Bon Jovi said in a statement that further information on the possible postponed dates will be available soon.

The concert was the penultimate of the band’s nine sold-out performances at New York venues. On July 7th, Bon Jovi returned to the concert stage for the first time since 2022.

The band was on hiatus while Jon Bon Jovi underwent surgery for vocal cord atrophy and extensive rehabilitation.

For their first show back together, the band performed a solid two-and-a-half hour show filled with rock classics such as “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Bad Medicine,” and “Born to Be My Baby.”

Emotions were also at the forefront as a grateful Jon Bon Jovi told the crowd, “I’m grateful and humbled by this whole ordeal. There’s 20,000 people here giving their love and support… Thank you for giving me this.”

Bon Jovi will play the final day of their Madison Square Garden residency on Sunday, July 26, before heading to Scotland, Ireland and London for a series of shows in August and September.
