President Trump floats into the air as Spain celebrates victory by hoisting the World Cup trophy
FIFA president Gianni Infantino removed President Donald Trump from the stage after he became fidgety after presenting the World Cup trophy to Spain.
It’s usually Barron Trump, whose height arouses curiosity online. But this time it’s about President Donald Trump. It comes after Spanish soccer star Rodri appeared noticeably taller than the president in a video from the World Cup final, even though they are both reportedly 6 feet 3 inches tall.
The clip was shared on the White House’s Rapid Response account The new scrutiny comes after similar questions arose over past appearances with other public figures, including Prince William.
According to ESPN, Rodri, 30, is 6 feet 3 inches tall, which is the same height listed on President Trump in a physical exam released by the White House in April 2025. Despite the same measurements, many online observers said Rodri appeared several inches taller during the trophy presentation.
The White House did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment on July 20.
Questions about President Trump’s height are not new
The World Cup footage is the latest in a series of moments that have raised questions about President Trump’s listed height.
Questions have also been raised about President Trump’s height in a photo of him alongside Britain’s Prince William. The two are widely reported to be 6 feet 3 inches tall, but some images have left viewers guessing that might not be the case.
An April 2025 physical exam of President Trump conducted by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbavera listed the president’s height as 6 feet 3 inches.
That would make him one of the tallest presidents in U.S. history. However, the internet has repeatedly sparked debate over whether his actual height matches official records as photos and videos have gone viral.
How tall is the Trump family?
Regardless of the controversy over Trump’s height, members of the Trump family are well known for being taller than average.
- Barron Trump: At least 6 feet 7 inches, some reports estimate him to be 6 feet 9 inches tall.
- Eric Trump: 6 feet 5 inches.
- Donald Trump Jr.: 6 feet 1 inch.
- Melania Trump: 5 feet 11 inches.
- Ivanka Trump: 5 feet 11 inches.
- Tiffany Trump: 5 feet 8 inches, according to Bergen Record, part of the USA TODAY Network
Barron Trump, in particular, is often talked about on the internet because of his height, which often towers over his parents when he appears in public.
