Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darling Graham Nordone, becomes a senator

Sen. Darin Graham, who is serving the remainder of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s term, said he will seek a full term in the South Carolina seat his brother held for more than 20 years.
Graham told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity on July 20, “I’ve made a decision. I’m going to participate.”
Graham’s decision comes three days after she received a major endorsement from President Donald Trump as she sought to replace her brother, who died on July 11.
“Run, darling, run!” President Trump said in a Truth social post on July 17. Graham, 62, “has been a lifelong winner and if she accepts, she will have my full and complete support,” the president wrote.
Lindsey Graham won the Republican nomination for a fifth term as South Carolina representative in June. After his death, the Republican nominee for the South Carolina Senate race will be determined by a special primary election. Republicans seeking Senate seats can apply from July 21 to July 28, ahead of the Aug. 11 primary that will determine the candidate to challenge Democrat Annie Andrews in the November midterm elections.
Graham said in an interview with Hannity that he was praying about his decision and discussing it with his family.
“I know I’m a hard worker. I learned that from Lindsay,” she said. “I feel like I can do it. I feel peace about it. Will it be difficult? Yes, of course.”
