President Trump says attack on Iran will continue ‘until I say enough is enough’
President Donald Trump said in an interview with FOX News Channel’s Trey Yingst that attacks on Iran will continue.
President Donald Trump said on social media on July 15 that Iran had released Americans it had “unjustly detained” as the United States launched new military strikes against enemies in the Middle East.
“The United States appreciates this act of goodwill by Iran!” President Trump said on social media, adding that the person is safe outside of Iran and in good condition.
International human rights lawyer Jared Guenther identified the person as Dena Kalari, a dual U.S.-Iranian citizen.
Guenther told X that he was “happy and excited to report” that Kalari had been released and returned to the United States, adding that she had been in Iran since December 2024 “on false charges.” He acknowledged that the president’s efforts were critical to her release.
In 2023, Gensel, a human rights lawyer known as “The Exploiter,” also represented Shiamak Namazi, one of five Iranian-American dual citizens whose release was negotiated by then-President Joe Biden’s administration in exchange for imprisoned Iranians.
According to a Guardian profile from the same year, Genzer helped free more than 300 prisoners of conscience from 20 countries over the past 20 years.
The latest attacks on Iran come as the United States reinstates a blockade of Iranian shipping as the two countries vie for control of the Strait of Hormuz.
