Watch our recap of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s New York wedding
USA TODAY’s Brian West recaps Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding.
One of Taylor Swift’s closest friends is staying mum about the “Bad Blood” singer’s star-studded wedding, at least for now.
While promoting her new movie One Night Only, musician Este Haim confirmed to Access Hollywood that she attended Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden, joking that the public will have to wait a while for the truth to be revealed.
“I think I’ll leave that for my future secrets to reveal when I’m 90 years old,” Heim said in an interview published July 13. “We’ll probably talk about it in 50 years or so.”
Este and her sisters Danielle Haim and Alana Haim, who together form the pop-rock trio Haim, were among a parade of celebrities, musicians and athletes invited to witness the power couple’s July 3 wedding.
The sisters, who are Swift’s longtime friends and musical collaborators, are frequently spotted with the “New Romantics” singer, including sitting courtside with her at Game 4 of the NBA Finals in June, and at Este’s own wedding just a few months ago.
The indie-pop trio previously teamed up with Swift on the “No Body, No Crime” collaboration, appeared in Swift’s “Bejeweled” music video, and collaborated with the Grammy Award winner on a remix of her single “Gasoline” in February 2021. The sisters have also been on numerous tours with Swift, including the massive 1989 World Tour in 2015 and some North American stadium dates on the 2023 Ellas Tour.
Haim said of Swift in an interview with Fashion Magazine, “[Taylor]is the best and she deserves every accolade she’s ever gotten. She’s a true genius and she’s my best friend and my best friend.”
Taylor Swift and the Haim sisters wear custom Knicks T-shirts weeks before their wedding
Weeks before Swift and Kelsea said “I do,” the pop star was spotted courtside cheering on the New York Knicks with Law & Order SVU star Mariska Hargitay and sisters Este and Alana Haim. They all wore custom Knicks-themed shirts.
Each wore T-shirts with the same royal blue and orange template, with Swift playing on the team’s names: “Stevie Nicks,” Estes “Nickelback,” and Alana “Nickel Kidman.” Their creativity was even praised by Nicole Kidman herself, who complimented the playful gesture.
Haim believed in Swift’s idea and told People that she was a “genius” in creating the matching T-shirts.
“She was the one who came up with the idea, and Alana was the one who executed it. I was just a body, a vessel for the shirt,” Haim told the magazine.
Haim added, “I mean, it’s no secret that we love[Nicole Kidman]and we’re huge fans of hers, and it went perfectly with the T-shirt. It was the first name that came to mind when we were all brainstorming what Knicks-themed names we could come up with.”
