Jay-Z kicked off his 30th anniversary concert series in New York with a bang, featuring his wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as a special guest.

The rap titan kicked off the first of three shows at Yankee Stadium on July 10, opening the show with the opening track of his debut album, “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” featuring Mary J. Blige.

Shortly after, Beyoncé took to the stage to help sing Blige’s part and do a special remix.

“New York City, what’s up?” he told the crowd, wearing a New York bomber jacket and matching cap. “That’s how you start!”

The audience went wild as the Grammy-winning couple sang together on stage.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper will take over the stage at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York, for three highly anticipated shows to celebrate his 30th anniversary in music. The “Jay-Z 30” concert series commemorates the 30th anniversary of his debut album “Reasonable Doubt,” released on June 25, 1996. We also celebrate the 25th anniversary of our sixth studio album, The Blueprint, released on September 11, 2001.

Reasonable Doubt, released on his Roc-A-Fella Records label and featuring collaborations with Mary J. Blige, Notorious B.I.G., and Jazz-O, has been hailed by some critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.

Meanwhile, his sixth studio album, The Blueprint, which spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, is similarly considered one of the best in the rap genre. In 2018, the recording was added to the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.

Later this year, the Roc Nation founder will hold his “Jay-Z 30” concert series in Los Angeles and Paris. The European performance will be held on Thursday, September 10th. The West Coast performance is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd. Jay-Z recently added a London show to his lineup on September 4, Beyoncé’s birthday.

The concert will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and given the importance of the day, fans are already speculating that Beyoncé will perform.
