“Now, this is the dream.”

Bath & Body Works is going fruity this summer, launching a new line of Juicy New Body Care and fragrances with Hilary Duff as brand ambassador and creative partner.

The new collection, which spans body care and fragrance, focuses on “fruity scents and authentic, lasting hydration,” and is an example of the brand’s “consumer-first formula,” which puts the customer at the heart, according to a news release.

“Fruit Fusion was created around appealing fruit scents,” Veronique Gabay Pinsky, chief brand and product officer at Bath & Body Works, told USA TODAY. “The fragrances are bright, stackable, and designed to be worn together. Each is distinct, but created to complement the others.”

Gavai-Pinsky added that the formulation behind the product is “just as intentional.” For example, the body wash is “built around cocosia complex, two active ingredients that work together to keep you hydrated all day long,” while the “lotion combines shea butter and coconut oil to stay hydrated for 48 hours.”

Hilary Duff is a ‘perfect fit’

According to Bath & Body Works, the brand has tapped Duff, a “long-time Bath & Body Works fan,” as its creative partner to bring the collection to life.

Gavai-Pinsky said Duff’s confidence, energy and status as a “beloved” star make her a “perfect fit for this new series.”

“She embodies exactly what we stand for: feeling good, joy, integrity, confidence, and expressing your best self,” Gavai-Pinsky said. “She was involved in shaping the creative for the campaign and you can feel it. It’s a reflection of who she really is now: enjoying the moment, being grounded, strong and confident, and being authentic.”

Gavai-Pinsky said Duff’s selections from the collection include Tangerine Twirl Moisturizing Body Lotion as part of her moisturizing routine, layered with Banana Blend Perfume Mist for Body and Hair.

Gavai-Pinsky added that Duff reaches for Banana Blend Lip Oil “all day long, even on stage,” to quickly reapply.

“I want women to be fun, confident and fully themselves,” Duff said in an emailed statement to USA TODAY.

“When you find a scent that lights you up, something changes. It makes you feel like you can be your best self,” Starr said. “Fruit Fusion is so bright, playful and fun that we hope it will help women shine.”

Duff and Brand’s collaboration has been active following the release of his new album, “Luck… or Something,” and his return to touring for the first time in 18 years.

Bath & Body Works Fruit Fusion Flavor

Bath & Body Works Fruit Fusion features “four vibrant fruity scents” including:

  • Watermelon Whirl: Candied watermelon, fresh juice, soft musk
  • Tangerine Twirl: bright tangerine, juicy citrus, solar burst
  • Berry Bliss: Sweet berries, tart pomegranate, sheer wood
  • Banana Blend: Whipped banana, smooth vanilla, sparkling amber

Gavai-Pinsky said each scent in the collection “started with a real personal memory of the perfumer who created it.”

“We partnered with some of the most prestigious fragrance houses in the world, and what started as a simple, delicious fruit became something layered, expressive and unexpected,” said Gavai-Pinsky.

For example, Tangerine Twirl was born from “a perfumer’s memory of peeling tangerines on a beach in Brazil, salt in the air and sun on his skin,” while Banana Blend was born from memories of drinking banana smoothies as a child.

Berry Bliss was “created around the sensation of biting into sun-ripened fruit,” Gavai-Pinsky explained, while Watermelon Whirl was developed using a technique called “Headspace,” which captures the scent of living fruit exactly as it would smell in nature.

How to get Bath & Body Works Fruit Fusion Collection

The new Fruit Fusion collection will be available in Bath & Body Works stores and online starting Monday, July 6th. It will also be available for purchase on the brand’s Amazon storefront, which opened earlier this year.

Fortunately for fans, the collection is not a limited edition, but “designed as a long-term franchise, with new scents and formats planned over time,” Bath & Body Works said.
