Corey Feldman suffered an emergency on a flight to Los Angeles and was hospitalized.
Corey Feldman suffered an emergency on a plane and was released from the hospital after spending the night in the hospital.
The 54-year-old “Goonies” and “Lost Boys” actor is “much better and is currently being discharged from the hospital,” a spokesperson told USA TODAY in a statement on Tuesday, June 16. A spokesperson said he was diagnosed with “very severe food poisoning.”
“Corey would like to thank everyone for your love and well wishes. He has definitely seen a lot of messages and is truly grateful for all of them,” the statement added.
He has recovered in time to release his latest single, “What Am I Here 4”, on June 22nd, and is “looking forward” to celebrating his birthday in Southern California on July 25th and 26th.
In an X post shared late on June 15, Feldman thanked his fans for their “love and care” and added that while the medical incident was “certainly scary,” he believes he will be okay. “For now, all signs look good,” he wrote.
The former child star was met by paramedics and taken to the hospital after landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, June 15th. He was on his way home from spending time in the Midwest on the Stand By Me 40th Anniversary Tour with co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton, and stopped by the Chicago Theater on Sunday, June 14th.
Who is Corey Feldman? Career spans music, reality TV – including ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Since his first credited role on Normal Lear’s America 2-Night in 1978, Feldman has been in the spotlight for decades thanks to his film and music career, his childhood friendship with Michael Jackson, and his work with frequent on-screen co-star Corey Haim, nicknamed “The Two Coreys.”
He debuted his first single, “Something in Your Eyes,” on the “Dream a Little Dream” soundtrack in 1989, and went on to build a music catalog with songs like “Ascension Millennium” and the Billboard chart-topping “Go For It!” A 2008 album with his band Truth Movement was also released on his label CiFi Records. Feldman also toured with nu-metal band Limp Bizkit in 2024 as an opening act.
Feldman is said to have subsequently experienced some personal hardship, including abuse from a number of men in Hollywood, as she landed major roles in Stand by Me, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, The Barbs (and its Peacock reboot series), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The actor himself was reportedly the subject of misconduct allegations in 2020, but no legal action was taken.
Feldman’s experiences as a victim of sexual abuse, as well as her recovery from addiction and reaction to the deaths of Haim and Jackson, are detailed in her 2013 autobiography, Coreyography: A Memoir.
He and dance pro Jenna Johnson were among the first to be eliminated from Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars in September 2025.
