On May 20, Hometown Food Company announced a recall of certain lot codes for Birch Benders sweet potato pancake and waffle mixes because they may contain undeclared eggs. People with egg allergies or egg sensitivities may be at risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this mixture.
As of May 21, Hometown Food Company has no confirmed cases of illness caused by the recalled pancake mix.

Hometown Food Company’s voluntary recall affects a single lot code for the company’s 12-ounce Birch Benders Sweet Potato Pancake and Waffle Mix.
