Kroger’s Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons are being recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination, according to an announcement from crouton maker Sugar Foods LLC on the Food and Drug Administration’s website.

The possible contamination is related to infant formula provided by California Dairy Co., the statement said.

The infant formula notice was issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on April 30, warning consumers of possible contamination, USA TODAY previously reported.

Croutons weren’t the only product affected by California Dairies’ baby formula. More items were recalled due to possible contamination with baby powder, including frozen pizza sold at Aldi, Zapp’s and Dirty brand chips, and several powdered drinks from Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the company is initiating this recall as this milk powder was used in a seasoning ingredient supplied to Sugar Foods,” the statement said. “Sugar Foods is recalling this product pursuant to an ingredient supplier recall.”

The recalled croutons were sold in 17 US states and distributed from March 7th to April 7th.
