Taylor Holder revealed she is keeping calm and taking a step back from her performance.
The 28-year-old country musician apologized to fans for canceling his upcoming “When No One’s Around” tour because he has been battling mental health over the past few months “to the point where it can no longer be ignored,” he said in an Instagram post on May 12. He called the decision one of the hardest he’s ever had to make.
“I’ve been trying for a while to keep my head down and just get through this and give my all to music and the people who support me, but honestly, I’ve reached a breaking point right now and need to take a step back and focus on getting healthy,” Holder wrote in the post.
The former TikTok star said he knows his fans made plans and spent money to see him, and wrote that he “deeply regrets the disappointment this has caused.”
“Even though I’m doing everything I’ve ever dreamed of, I still feel very alone and unfulfilled. Being able to perform in front of you is the greatest privilege of my life, and this decision was not made lightly,” he said.
he continued. “I’m taking this time to rest, seek support, and catch up with myself away from the pressure and pace of touring. My hope is that this time off will help me grow stronger and healthier so that I can give you all the performance you deserve. Thank you for your patience, compassion, and continued support. It means more than you know.”
He simply captioned the post, “Sorry 💔.”
Who is Taylor Holder?
Holder is a country musician and content creator from Alvarado, North Central Texas, who has been on hiatus since 2017 with his first song, “Who I Am.”
He boasts over 4.5 million followers on Instagram and 19 million followers on TikTok, where he frequently promotes his music and opens up about his life as an artist.
His music explores themes of vulnerability and loneliness, and embracing vulnerability. His latest song, ‘When No One’s Around’, was released in April, and although he believed he had ‘everything figured out’ by the age of 25, by the age of 28 he felt lost and at an ‘all-time low’. In an April 2 TikTok video, he told his followers to view the song as a sign to affirm his “happy” friends.
“When I don’t have anyone around me, I’m drowning, so throw me a rope ’cause there’s only one way out,” he sings in the song’s chorus. “Is this the end? I feel like I’m losing the battle with myself. God only knows where I’m going, but where is He now?”
The “When No One’s Around Tour” includes stops in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 13th and Kansas City, Missouri, on May 14th. Performances were also scheduled for May 21st in Atlanta and May 22nd in Jacksonville, Florida.
