Masters Sunday at Augusta National Golf Club is over, but it was a great day of golf.

After clutch play on the back nine of the final round on Sunday, April 12, Rory McIlroy became the first back-to-back Masters champion since Tiger Woods more than 20 years ago. This was also the sixth major win of McIlroy’s career.

McIlroy was in the driver’s seat after the first two days, but an eventful third round left him tied for first place on the leaderboard with Cameron Young at 11 under for the tournament heading into Sunday’s final round. While other golfers such as Justin Rose and Scottie Scheffler moved up the rankings, a double bogey on the fourth hole (which Jack Nicklaus hated) and a bogey on the sixth hole caused him to briefly fall from the lead.

But McIlroy learned last year how to withstand pressure on the final day of the Masters. The 36-year-old Northern Irishman regained his composure and regained the lead, holding on on the final hole to win by one stroke.

A crowded top of the leaderboard meant some fun golf and a shot or putt between a “very good” payday and a “great payday” from the Masters purse, once again setting a new payout record.

Here’s what you need to know about the prize money golfers took home at the 90th Masters Sunday.

Here’s the top of the 2026 Masters Tournament leaderboard.
