Elliott Caddo named MOP after winning NCAA men’s tournament

Date:

For the first time in nearly 40 years, Michigan men’s basketball has reached the top of the mountain.

The top-seeded Wolverines completed one of the most dominant seasons by a single team in men’s college basketball history with a 69-63 victory over second-ranked UConn inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Monday night.

Elliott Caddo had an impact on both ends of the floor with 19 points, three rebounds, two steals and two assists, good enough for the Big Ten Player of the Year to be named Most Valuable Player of the Men’s NCAA Tournament after the win.

The Wolverines’ win also broke a more than 20-year Big Ten men’s basketball national championship drought, as Dusty May’s program became the conference’s first champion since in-state rival Michigan State cut the Nets in 2000.

Here’s a closer look at the Caddo men’s NCAA Tournament MOPs, including their March Madness stats and all members of the 2026 NCAA Men’s All-Tournament Team.
