Cruises offer one-stop shopping for your vacation, from accommodations to dining and entertainment.

But passengers’ purchasing decisions go beyond cruise fares. Many onboard experiences are included in the starting price of your sailing, while other amenities and experiences come at an additional cost.

Travelers should note that each cruise line also has its own specifics. Services such as a kids’ club are usually included, but additional services such as babysitting or late-night hours for younger children are often available for a fee. The same applies to dining venues. There may be no cover charge at any venue, but there may be additional charges for certain menu items.

USA TODAY compiled a list of what’s included in the base fares of eight major cruise lines, including family-friendly and adult-only brands (excluding luxury ships, which tend to include more introductory prices). This list is based on standard staterooms before taking into account cruise loyalty program complimentary benefits.

What does the cruise line’s base fare include?
