Reviews have been posted and Great Wolf Lodge’s newest and most talked about concoction turns out to be pretty fun.

While the limited-time lunch milkshake was taking the internet by storm, several people, including Parade writer Devon Scherer, decided to try the dessert (dip?) for themselves.

“It tasted really good, but it also made me feel naughty, like when you order something wild and comforting after a night of drinking,” Scherer said in an article published March 10. “I kept drinking and drinking.”

Scherer said it tasted like ranch, but a little sweeter.

Great Wolf Lodge guests who posted their own reviews seemed to feel the same way, calling it “really good.”

“You can taste the ranch flavor, but it’s not very strong,” she said in her review. “…It’s not bad.”

Launched in honor of National Farm Day, which was recognized on March 10, the shake is blended with “vanilla ice cream and ranch dressing,” served with crispy chicken, carrots, celery and whipped cream, and features a sweet and salty lime rim.

This “sweet and tangy” menu item is $7.99 and available at any resort location until May 20th.

Internet shaking is “really annoying”

Great Wolf Lodge’s “Lunch Milkshake” sparked a pretty strong reaction online.

“This is not right and I’m genuinely annoyed,” one person responded on X (formerly Twitter). Another user added: “That’s wrong on every level of time and space.”

“I’m getting ready to throw up now,” one person wrote, while Great Wolf Lodge responded with a laughing emoji: “That’s what a ranch shake will do. The atmosphere alone is enough to make your stomach flip.”

When someone asked “why?” the resort spoke up again. “Honestly, the shaking feels like chaos in a cup. ‘Why?!'” That’s the only correct response. ”

Even R&B legend Dionne Warwick commented on a post that mentioned milkshakes: “You’re just wasting food in your kitchen.”

Other companies have developed desserts using this popular condiment in the past. In 2023, Hidden Valley Ranch launched an ice cream flavor.
