Retirement isn’t for everyone, including Mr. Clean.

After two weeks of much-needed study and research, Crean was “coming out of retirement.”

According to Procter & Gamble, the very man popularly known as Mr. Clean is “newly inspired, newly energized and ready to reveal the biggest innovation of his legendary career.”

Mr. Crean’s “retirement” was tied to a March 4 announcement in which the Procter & Gamble-owned brand announced a series of new and “upgraded” products.

“Innovations” include the biggest Magic Eraser upgrade in 20 years, new shower & tub scrubbers, and new scents in our all-purpose cleaner lineup.

“A legacy lasts forever. Mr. Clean’s legacy is far from over,” Dave Landers, Procter & Gamble’s vice president of surface care in North America, said in a statement. “We’re excited to have him back, because there’s so much magic in our new product lineup and there’s no one we’d want to partner with more than the legend himself.”

Here’s what you need to know about Mr. Crean’s “Never Retire”, including additional details about the brand’s new “upgraded” product line.

Crean ‘proud’ to return after retirement

From athletics to walks on the beach to pampering in the bathroom, Mr. Crean has turned his spare time into a full-time job. He shared every moment of it on his social feed.

According to Procter & Gamble, Mr. Crean’s newfound hobby “fueled his inspiration.” Innovations such as stronger Magic erasers, improved shower and bath scrubbers, and a line of scents that resemble a beach vacation in a bottle were inspired by Mr. Crean’s work outside the company.

“I’m proud to be back today,” Crean announced on Wednesday, March 4. “I tried to remain a recluse, but the idea got too big. The magic of cleaning called me back.”
