Try McDonald’s Big Arch Burger on USA TODAY
USA TODAY’s Mike Snyder sampled McDonald’s Big Arch Burger, which will be released nationwide in March 2026.
McDonald’s CEO is under fire online for sharing a video of him sampling the fast food chain’s latest burger.
McDonald’s will release the Big Arch Burger in the United States for a limited time starting Tuesday, March 3rd. This burger attracted attention because of its size. There are two quarter-pound beef patties surrounded by three slices of melted white cheddar cheese. But now it’s gaining attention for its recent tasting videos.
A video of McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski tasting a hamburger in early February has drawn skepticism and taunts online, with some people not believing Kempczinski even thought the dish was good.
In the video, Kempczinski describes the burger and its contents, then takes a bite of the new product and holds it up to the camera.
“I love this product,” Kempczinski said in the video before sampling the burger. “It’s very delicious. I’m going to try it now, but I’m planning to eat this for lunch, just in case.”
Social media makes fun of McDonald’s CEO’s taste test
The CEO’s comments and burger bite led to parody and ridicule from people on social media. According to comments on the original Instagram post, the internet noted that Kempczinski used the word “product” to describe the burger and challenged the idea that he ate the entire burger for lunch.
The original post had the comment “What’s the opposite of real and authentic?” and the post now has over 9,000 comments. Another wrote: “What a delicious product, guys.”
Some social media users parodied the moment, using similar language to review other McDonald’s products, such as the double cheeseburger. One TikTok video, which has received more than 949,000 likes, does so while poking fun at Kempczinski’s review.
Others wondered if he really took a bite of the burger. “That was the tiniest first bite I’ve ever seen,” another posted in reply.
Meanwhile, singer and actress Christina Milian called burgers a “guilty pleasure.”
USA TODAY also tried the Big Arch Burger
USA TODAY Trending reporter Mike Snyder tried the Big Arch Burger ahead of its release on Tuesday and called the burger heavy.
“When you order this, you should be hungry,” he said during the taste test.

What you need to know about Big Arch Burger
The Big Arch Burger is scheduled to hit U.S. restaurants this week.
As Kempczinski noted in the tasting video, McDonald’s is touting it as its “biggest, boldest burger ever,” and it includes lettuce and pickles in addition to crispy onions and Big Arch sauce. McDonald’s online menu spotter page describes Big Arch Sauce as “a tangy, creamy sauce with perfectly balanced mustard, pickle, and sweet tomato flavors.”
