Kelly Osbourne continues to speak out against body shaming and urges fans to show compassion.
The singer and TV presenter, 41, took to Instagram on Saturday, February 28, to address comments about her weight loss following her exit from the BRIT Awards.
Osbourne, who has been grieving the death of her father Ozzy Osbourne since last year, posted on her Instagram Story: “There’s a special kind of cruelty to hurting someone who is clearly going through something. To kick me when I’m down, to question my pain, to gossip about my struggles, to turn away when I need support and love the most.”
“None of this is a demonstration of strength and only reveals a serious lack of compassion and decency,” she continued. “I’m going through the most difficult time of my life right now. I shouldn’t even have to protect myself. But I’m not going to sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized like that!”
Ozzy Osbourne passed away in July 2025 at the age of 76, and in the months since, Kelly has opened up about how she was struggling with the loss.
“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through in my life,” she said at the Grammy Awards in February, adding that “things aren’t going very well.”
Osbourne previously hit back at cruel comments about her weight in December, saying in a video she shared on Instagram: “By posting comments like ‘Are you sick’ and ‘Get off Ozempic’, you make yourself look like you’re not right to the people who continue to think you’re crazy and mean.” My father just passed away, I’m doing the best I can, and now all I have to live for is my family. ”
In an interview with Piers Morgan that same month, Osbourne’s mother Sharon said her daughter “can’t eat right now.”
Last week, Kelly Osbourne also said: “I can’t believe there are people out there who really hate her” after receiving comments last week that said she looked like a “corpse” and was “going to see her father soon.” Osbourne wrote, “No one deserves this kind of abuse!”
Ms Osbourne’s latest comments came after she attended the 2026 BRIT Awards, where her late father received a lifetime achievement award. Sharon Osbourne said she was “honored” to accept the award on behalf of her late husband.Taking the stage with her mother, Kelly Osbourne said: “Thank you for loving my dad as much as we do.”
