Walmart brand cottage cheese recalled
The FDA has announced a recall of Great Value brand cottage cheese sold in 24 states. This includes fat-free and low-fat small curd varieties sold from February 17th to February 20th.

Dog treats sold in stores in several states have been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.
Boca Raton, Fla.-based Elite Treats is recalling 6-ounce black and gold bags of Elite Treats Dog Chicken Chips, according to a recent notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
“This contamination was noted after testing conducted by a third-party laboratory confirmed contamination in a related not-yet-commercially-released lot of the same product,” the notice states.

What dog treat products have been recalled?
Lot number 24045 is located on the back of the product. Expiration date is April 2027.
In what states were the recalled dog treats sold?
The dog treats were distributed to Florida Hardware LLC and sold to feed stores in the following states:
- Alabama
- florida
- georgia
- north carolina
- south carolina
Have there been any reports of illnesses related to the dog treat recall?
There have been no reports of illness related to this recall.
If symptoms occur, you should contact your health care provider. For pet dogs, consumers should consult their veterinarian.
“Pets infected with salmonella may be lethargic and develop diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets may develop a loss of appetite and abdominal pain,” the notice states. “Pets can be infected without showing symptoms. Even if they don’t show symptoms, infected pets can act as carriers and pass Salmonella to people in the household or other pets through feces or saliva in the home environment.”
What should I do if I buy dog treats?
The FDA is asking consumers to stop using and discard affected products. Additionally, the agency said you should wash and disinfect pet bowls and containers, as well as your hands and countertops.
