To earn his fourth gold medal, Stolz must win the final two races, the 1,500 meters on Thursday, February 19th and the mass start on Saturday, February 21st.

Stolz set a new Olympic record and won his first Olympic gold medal in the men’s 1,000 meters on Wednesday, February 11th.

Only two other people have won four gold medals in a single Winter Olympics, and only speed skating legend Eric Heiden won five gold medals in 1980.
