What you need to know about the release of the Epstein files so far
USA TODAY’s Bert Jansen breaks down what you need to know as the Epstein case files become public and why some details may be misleading.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced on January 30 that the Justice Department would release an additional 3 million pages of Epstein files, including 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.
Blanche said in a press conference that the release will include redactions. He said this would create a total of more than 3.5 million pages out of the more than 6 million pages collected by the government.
“I don’t think the hunger or hunger for information will be satisfied by the review of these documents,” Deputy AG Blanche said. “There’s nothing you can do about it.”
Blanche also said the Justice Department “didn’t protect President Trump. We didn’t protect anyone, and we haven’t.”
