MET Gala: Teyana Taylor wears a red cape
Teyana Taylor’s outfits are memorable. The actress arrived at the Met Gala wearing a show-stopping red cape.
Teyana Taylor is taking Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week by storm.
Fresh off her first Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win for her role in One Battle After Another, the actress arrived at Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2026 haute couture show on Monday, January 26th, in a show-stopping look that was at once a modern nod to nakedness and rooted in traditional film etiquette.
Taylor, 36, wore a sheer black dress with floral lace. Opting for a more modest version of the nude clothing trend, she layered a long black coat over her look and paired it with sheer fishnet gloves. She completed her ensemble with classic black platform pumps.
But the real star of the show was Taylor’s ornate jewelry and the inspiration behind it.
Following ‘SNL’, ‘One Battle After Another’ star Teyana Taylor’s Schiaparelli look was inspired by the Louvre jewelry heist
Inspired by the Louvre jewelry heist that rocked the famous Paris museum in October, Taylor wore a diamond-encrusted crown set with pearls designed by the Schiaparelli jewelry brand.
The ornate headpiece was modeled after Empress Eugenie’s tiara, one of several pieces stolen from the Louvre.
Also hanging above her neck was a glittering diamond ribbon with two long tassels dangling from the bodice. According to Harper’s Bazaar, designer and creative director Daniel Rosebery adapted this custom piece from Empress Eugenie’s bodice front.
Taylor was just one of several celebrities spotted on the steps of the Petit Palais entering Schiaparelli’s show. Demi Moore was also photographed in a cheeky animal print look, complete with a small decorative hat. Jodie Turner-Smith opted for a (relatively) simple ensemble. The actress wore a black gown with gold-lined cutouts and completed her look with statement earrings in the same shade and a black fur shawl.
