Lovebu’s monster dolls are ugly and adorable
A new monster doll is taking the internet by storm. Influencers spend up to $85 on larger Lovebu dolls.
Love Bus has found a new rival in Jack in the Box’s “Jibis.”
Launched as part of the fast-food chain’s year-long celebrations to mark its 75th anniversary, the limited edition collectible bag charms have been a hit online, with consumers unable to resist comparing Zibis to Love Bath, the monster-like plush charms that have taken the world by storm.
“I hate love baths, but the little jack in the box called Jibiz is kinda cute…I bought the blue one,” Leah Roberts said in a Jan. 5 post on X.
Technically, Zibibis has been available with the purchase of a Chicken Supreme Munchie Meal since early January, but discussions about Jack in the Box-themed bag charms are only just beginning.
“Gibi is made to be cut, collected and shown off, because one charm is never enough,” Jacques said in a Dec. 18 news release. “Whether you score one or chase them all, these mini-icons are available for a limited time only.”
Jack in the Box did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment.
Here’s what you need to know about Jack’s Jibbis, including how to get them.
People love Jack’s “Jibis”
Gibi hasn’t caused quite as much of a fuss as the Love Bus yet, but the miniature “Jack” has certainly left an impression.
“TikTok keeps showing me videos of people opening boxes of Gibi,” one user shared in a Jan. 6 X post. “I think I’m close to flying to America to get it.”
According to Jack in the Box, customers can collect up to four Jivi, including Spicy, Saucy, Icy, and “Ultra Rare” Boss, one for each Chicken Supreme Munchie Meal order.
While most consumers were content to simply share on social media which Givi they got, others noted how much they liked the collectibles better than their Labbu counterparts.
Aidna Lavig wrote: “I’ve never jumped on the Lovevu train but I’m about to get my hands on some Jibi from Jack in the Box.”
“Love Bath is 2025…this year is all about #JackInTheBox Jibbi!” Amy Minshall shared on January 11th with the hashtags #CollectThemAll and #Icy.
Jack in the Box turns 75!
From the return of Chicken Supreme to Jack’s “Jibis,” at least so far, the 75th anniversary event is “packed with nostalgic menus, special collectibles, covetable deals, and surprises designed to thank the fans who’ve been riding Jack since 1951.”
Officially discontinued in 2004, Chicken Supreme is back as part of three new meal menus: Chicken Supreme Combo, Double Chicken Supreme Combo, and Double Chicken Supreme Munchie Meal.
To continue the festivities, the chain is rolling out a “75 Days of Trivia” feature on the Jack in the Box app throughout the year, giving fans the chance to claim a “same-day offer” every time they answer an in-app question correctly.
“After 75 years, Jack in the Box is still breaking the rules and the party has just begun,” the San Diego-based company said in a statement.
