Chick-fil-A’s retro-style cups (and chances to win) go viral
To celebrate its 80th anniversary in business, Chick-fil-A has launched four retro-style cups, including a “Golden Fun Cup” that can be redeemed for free food.
In a special sweepstakes, Chick-fil-A is playing Willy Wonka.
Fans who are lucky enough to find Chick-fil-A’s Golden Fan Cup, a $3.99 beverage container, will receive 52 free entrees from the fast food giant, one for each week of the year. The contest will run until July 1, according to Chick-fil-A.
The cup, which resembles a ‘Golden Ticket’, is part of the ‘Classic Cup’ series, which comes in four other designs. Each cup is sold wrapped, so customers won’t know which one they bought or if they won until they remove the packaging.
The Classic Cup and Golden Fun Cup promotions are in celebration of Chick-fil-A’s 80th anniversary. The College Park, Ga.-based fast food chicken chain is also commemorating the milestone with a new drink and a special stuffed cow.

How to get a free year of Chick-fil-A
To earn a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A food, customers must purchase a Classic Cup. Chick-fil-A says each Classic Cup will be wrapped in a way that customers won’t see the design.
One of four retro-inspired cup designs will roll out every few weeks while supplies last. 3,000 Golden Fun Cups will be randomly distributed to cups across the country. Winners can scan the QR code on the cup to claim their prize.
What do you get if you win?
Winners will receive up to 52 entrees, one for each week of the year. Entrees available at participating restaurants include the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Chick-fil-A Nuggets.
