Girl Scouts will discontinue two types of cookies after 2025 season

Girl Scout cookie season is finally here!
Girl Scouts of America, a girl-led entrepreneurship program, is preparing to sell some of its most famous cookies, including Thin Mints, through spring.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough news for cookie lovers around the world, GSUSA is also adding a new cookie to its lineup: Exploremores. Exploremores are rocky road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookies that “reflect the spirit of exploration at the heart of every Girl Scout.”
Proceeds from the sale of each box of Girl Scout cookies, including Exploremore, go to local troops and councils to fund “life-changing programs, experiences and learning” throughout the year, according to GSUSA.
Girl Scouts also develop the leadership and entrepreneurial skills needed for a “bright future” while working to earn the coveted My First Cookie Business, My Cookie Customer, and My Cookie Team badges. GSUSA also works closely with Adobe, the national sponsor of the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie Program.
“Girl Scout cookie season is always a moment of joy and tradition, but this year promises to be incredibly exciting,” Wendy Lu, who oversees the cookie program, said in a statement.
“We’re excited to introduce new and delicious Exploremores™ cookies to our lineup of iconic cookies that people know and love,” added Lu. “With every purchase, consumers directly support the ability of local Girl Scouts to explore more opportunities in STEM, the outdoors, and more.”

Are Girl Scout cookies available yet?
Nationally, cookie season is recognized to start from January to April, but the timing varies by region. There are several ways to find out when cookies go on sale in your area or where you can get them near you.

This season, 11 different cookie flavors are available, including a new flavor called “Exploremores.” Consumers looking to get their hands on Toast-Yay! The S’mores fix is out of luck, as these two cookie flavors were discontinued at the end of the 2025 season.
According to the Girl Scouts, available varieties vary by region, so check with your local Girl Scout council to see what’s available near you, or enter your zip code on the “Meet the Cookie” page.
Here’s the complete list of this year’s flavors:
- adventurous person: A luxurious brownie-inspired cookie topped with caramel-flavored cream flavored with sea salt.
- caramel chocolate chip: A chewy cookie with rich caramel, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt.
- caramel delitz | Samoa: Crispy cookie with caramel, coconut, and chocolate stripes
- Peanut butter sandwich | Dosidos: Crispy oatmeal sandwich cookie with peanut butter filling
- See more details: Cookie sandwiched with chocolate, marshmallow, and almond-flavored cream.
- lemonade: Flavorful and refreshing shortbread cookie topped with tangy lemon-flavored icing
- lemon ups: Crispy lemon cookies baked with a touching message
- Peanut butter patty | Tagalong people: Crispy cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with chocolate coating.
- thin mint: Crispy chocolate cookies coated with delicious mint chocolate coating.
- toffee flavor: Rich and buttery cookies and sweet and crunchy toffee bits
- mitsuba: Shortbread cookies inspired by the original Girl Scout cookie recipe
