What time will Target stores be open on New Year’s Eve 2025?

The new year is approaching. Shoppers looking for new clothes to wear to New Year’s Eve gatherings are in luck.

That’s because most national retailers will remain open on New Year’s Eve, and grocery stores and restaurant chains will also operate with adjusted business hours.

If you need to go to the store last minute to buy something for a holiday gathering, or if you need to do some last minute shopping, Target is your option this year. A company spokesperson told USA TODAY the store will open on Wednesday, Dec. 31 and close at 9 p.m. local time.

Which retail stores are open on New Year’s Eve?

In addition to the target stores, the following retailers are also eligible. open December 31st.

  • Kohl’s: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • TJ Maxx: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Home Goods: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Marshalls: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Best Buy: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • JC Penney: Opens at 11 a.m. Closing times vary by store
  • Home Depot: Stores close at 6 p.m.
  • Lowe’s: Stores close at 6 p.m.
  • Ace Hardware: Hours vary by location
  • REI: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Bass Pro Shop: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Cabela’s: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Berg: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sephora: Hours vary by location
  • IKEA: 10am to 6pm
  • Staples: Stores close at 6 p.m.
  • Office Depot: Stores close at 6 p.m.
  • OfficeMax: Stores close at 6 p.m.
  • PetSmart: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Petco: Closes at 7 p.m.
  • Tractor Supply Company: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Sam’s Club: Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Plus members, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Club members

  • Kroger family of stores. The Kroger family of stores includes Baker’s, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Foods Co, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Gerbes, Jay C Food Store, King Soopers, Kroger, Mariano’s, Metro Market, Pay-Less Super Markets, Pick’n Save, QFC, Ralphs, Ruler and Smith’s Food and Drug.
  • Food Lion regular business hours
  • Target: Closes at 9pm
  • Publix: Closes at 9 p.m.
  • Meyer: 6 a.m. to midnight.
  • Whole Foods: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Trader Joe’s: Closes at 5 p.m.
  • Aldi: Opening hours vary by location
  • Lidl: Stores close at 6 p.m.
  • Harris Teeter: Regular business hours
  • Wegmans: Closes at 8 p.m.
  • Winn-Dixie and Harveys: Stores close at 10 p.m.
  • Giant Eagle: Closes at 9 p.m.
