President Donald Trump has called on the Justice Department to release the names of Democrats included in the Epstein case file, saying the department should be “ashamed of them” while questioning the amount of time spent on the matter.

President Trump signed a bill on November 19 that requires the release of federal records related to Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019.

The bill provides a 30-day deadline for records to be released, and the Justice Department began releasing them on December 19th. Hundreds of thousands of documents have been released, but many more have yet to be released, leading some lawmakers to accuse the Trump administration of violating the law.

The Justice Department said on December 24 that the FBI and federal prosecutors had discovered more than 1 million more Epstein-related documents and that their review would take weeks.

President Trump said in a Dec. 26 social media post that “1 million more pages about Epstein have been discovered.” “The Department of Justice is being forced to spend all its time on this Democrat-inspired disinformation. When will they say no more?”

At the same time, President Trump took aim at Democrats and encouraged the Justice Department to take out those associated with Epstein.

In a Dec. 26 social media post, President Trump said, “Democrats, not Republicans, collaborated with Mr. Epstein.” “Publish all their names and shame them.”

Epstein, a wealthy and well-connected man, had interactions with the rich and famous and had a long friendship with Trump before they fell out.

Some of the newly released documents mention Mr. Trump, including Mr. Epstein’s plane travel. Other photos include former Democratic President Bill Clinton and other celebrities. Many of the documents have been heavily redacted.

Neither Trump nor Clinton have been accused of wrongdoing by authorities.
