To the actors he loved them and to the writers he made them better. His greatest His gift was freedom. He listened to our ideas and brought us into the process. We always felt like we were working as a team. It was a privilege to work with him as a filmmaker, but that’s just part of his legacy.”

The statement continued: “Rob was also a passionate and courageous citizen who not only cared about the country he loved, but did everything in his power to make it better, and along with his beloved wife Michele, he was the perfect partner. Strong and determined Michele and Rob. “Reiner dedicated so much of his life to the betterment of our people. They were a special force, dynamic, selfless and inspirational. We will forever miss them as they were our friends.”
