Hailee Steinfeld is pregnant!
The “Hawkeye” star, 29, is expecting her first child with her husband, NFL player Josh Allen, 29.
Steinfeld shared the big news on Instagram on Friday, Dec. 12, with a sweet video of the two embracing. The NFL quarterback and the “Sinners” actress hug and share a kiss in the video, which reveals her baby bump as she pulls up her sweater, which reads “mother” in all caps. The two look back at the camera while holding hands. The camera pans down to reveal a small snowman wearing a red scarf between them.
The “True Grit” actress and the Buffalo Bills QB have been romantically involved since 2023, but they have always kept their relationship secret. The couple didn’t go public on Instagram until July 2024, when Allen shared a merry-go-round that included a photo of herself and Steinfeld, but her face was not visible in the photo.
USA TODAY has reached out to Steinfield’s representatives for comment.
By November 2024, Steinfeld and Allen confirmed their engagement. A joint Instagram post at the time showed the NFL star on one knee in front of a large flower arch, and also shared the date he asked the question: “11.22.24.”
Allen later revealed in a conversation with Steinfeld in the Beau Society Newsletter that on the morning he was preparing to pop the question, she asked him, “Can we get married now?”
“I said, ‘I can’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you.’ I told her my full name and asked her questions politely. I said, ‘Please,'” Allen recalled. “You were so surprised. You said yes. That was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out.”
“It feels incredible to be engaged to someone so special, loving, caring, gorgeous, fun and happy,” he added.
Steinfeld later wrote in a newsletter that her wedding weekend was “the best weekend of my life.”
In a recent interview with Bustle, the True Grit star revealed that trying on a wedding dress for the first time “actually took my breath away,” adding, “I literally thank God every day that I found the right person. That’s the best thing in the world. Life has meaning. Everything has meaning. With him, I feel like I’m stepping into the version of myself that I’ve always dreamed of.”
When asked in her Bustle profile if she and Allen are considering children, Steinfeld quickly replied, “Of course.”
