Publix plans to open three new stores in two U.S. states by the end of the year, bringing its iconic green logo to customers in the Southeast.

According to the company’s New Store Openings page, three new stores opened by the end of December, two of which are in South Carolina. The third location will be in Florida.

As of December 2025, the chain operates more than 1,400 stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Publix was founded in 1930 by George W. Jenkins in Winter Haven, Florida, and currently has more than 260,000 employees, according to its website.

Here’s what you need to know about grocery stores opening in December.

Where will Publix open stores in December?

The following three stores are scheduled to open from December 3rd to December 11th.

  • 162 Seven Farms Dr., Ste 100, Daniel Island, SC – December 3
  • 1535 Silver Bluff Rd., Aiken, SC – December 6th
  • 9964 Old Baymeadows Rd., Jacksonville, FL – December 11th
