Baskin-Robbins will offer 80 scented ice cream scoops on December 7th

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Baskin-Robbins is releasing ice cream for 80 cents a scoop.

According to a news release sent to USA TODAY by the international ice cream parlor chain, “everyone is invited to the party” on Sunday, Dec. 7, when 80-cent scoops will be available for purchase at participating locations nationwide.

Founded by business partners Bert Baskin and Irv Robbins, Baskin-Robbins has been operating in Glendale, California and elsewhere since December 7, 1945, with 31 different flavors.

“To honor all the memories and moments Baskin-Robbins has been fortunate to be a part of over the past 80 years, we’re sharing an 80th birthday present with Rewards members: an 80-cent scoop,” said Nicole Bootwell, vice president of brand marketing and culinary at Baskin-Robbins, in a statement.

How to get an 80 cent scoop

To win 80 cents of ice cream on Sunday, December 7th, you must sign up or already be a Baskin-Robbins Rewards member. You can sign up on the Baskin-Robbins Rewards website.

Baskin-Robbins Rewards members also have the chance to end the year with 31% off all Scoops later this month on Wednesday, December 31st.

Baskin-Robbins releases seasonal products

In addition to the 80-cent scoops on December 7, a variety of seasonal treats await Baskin-Robbins customers who love peppermint, coffee, fudge, or all three.

Most, if not all, of the items in the holiday-themed lineup are available for purchase in-store, online, on the BR app, or through mobile ordering and delivery.

Baskin-Robbins’ holiday-themed lineup includes:

  • peppermint ice cream: Packed with real peppermint candy, customers can purchase limited-time flavors throughout December, including Peppermint Fudge Cappy and the new Peppermint Avalanche Cake in a Box, while supplies last.
  • peppermint avalanche cake: This shareable and portable dessert is layered with chocolate cake, Oreo pieces, peppermint ice cream, whipped frosting, peppermint bark pieces, and fudge for the ultimate festive “wow” moment.
  • Peppermint Fudge Cappy: Peppermint ice cream is blended with Arabica coffee and fudge, finished with whipped cream, fudge, and peppermint candy pieces.
  • Chocolate fudge cappy: Real coffee blended with chocolate ice cream and rich fudge, topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of fudge.
