Jelly Roll is teasing his new beardless look.
In a new snap shared to his Instagram profile on Nov. 24, the country singer, 40, showed off his new cropped face, just a week after shaving off his trademark beard.
“AI is crazy these days,” he joked in the caption, alongside a photo of himself in a taupe shirt and black overalls. His hair is cut short with bangs and his beard is cropped, in stark contrast to his public image at the time of his rise to fame.
This is just part of Jelly Roll’s recent public transformation. The genre-defying artist has also opened up about her weight loss journey, which has seen her shed hundreds of pounds over the past year.
In a video shared with X by the NFL’s Tennessee Titans in August, Jelly Roll revealed he had “lost 200 pounds.”
“I won’t be able to be on the field,” he joked, but added, “It’ll be soon.”
“I lost 200 pounds. I told my coach if I lost another 50 pounds, I could get a contract,” the singer said to applause.
The revelation follows a series of comments the musician made in April at a show in Pittsburgh, where he told the crowd he was working towards a dream date with his wife.
“I started out at 540 pounds and this morning I’m at 357 pounds, baby,” he said at the time. “I’m going to lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving in Sweden with my wife, baby.”
