The 36-year-old widow admitted she was not pregnant, but advised women to prioritize having a child if they wanted one.
Erica Kirk, the widow of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated earlier this fall, said she prayed after her late husband was murdered that she was pregnant with his child.
In an interview with Megyn Kelly on Sirius
The couple had two children, a 3-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy.
Her late husband, 31, was assassinated on September 10th while giving a lecture to students at Utah Valley University.
“We were really excited to expand our family,” the widow told Kelly.
“We wanted four people,” she told Kelly. “And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he was murdered…I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s going to be the ultimate blessing from this catastrophe.'”
“Thank God you have those two,” Kelly replied.

Mr Kirk also urged childless people not to delay having children.
“So now when I see young couples, I tell them, please don’t put it off, especially when it’s a young woman,” she said.
“You can always build a career. You can always go back to work,” she said. “You can never go back to having kids. They grow up so fast.”
