The two have been publicly abusing each other in recent weeks, but have yet to meet in person. President Trump has repeatedly falsely labeled the city of Mamdani, which is not only the largest city in the United States, but also Trump’s hometown, leading communists. The 34-year-old Democratic Socialist promised to meet with President Trump to discuss affordability, but publicly challenged him in his victory speech.
White House press secretary Caroline Levitt declined to discuss the content of the meeting, saying she did not want to get ahead of the president. Here’s what we know about this conference:

The only item on the president’s public schedule is a meeting with New York Mayor-elect Zoran Mamdani.
At this time of year, President Trump often leaves for Palm Beach, Florida, to visit his Mar-a-Lago mansion on weekends. However, according to the schedule, Trump is supposed to be at the White House on November 21st. Instead, temporary air restrictions marking the president’s travel are scheduled for Nov. 25-30 in airspace including Mar-a-Lago, suggesting Trump plans to go to Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday.
