Fan attacks Ariana Grande at Singapore ‘Wicked’ premiere
A fan attacked Ariana Grande as she walked the yellow carpet at the premiere of Wicked: For Good, and Cynthia Erivo shoved him.
After a flurry of press interviews, red carpets and late-night TV appearances, “Wicked” star Ariana Grande has contracted the coronavirus.
The pop star turned Hollywood heartthrob shared on her Instagram Story on Thursday, Nov. 20, that she tested positive for coronavirus shortly after appearing as a guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“Right before COVID,” she wrote alongside a screenshot from the Tuesday, Nov. 18 episode. USA TODAY has reached out to Grande’s representatives for comment.

According to People magazine, Universal Pictures announced that Erivo will no longer hold a press conference for the New York premiere on November 17th because he has lost his voice and is “not feeling well.”

An Australian man attending the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in Singapore on November 13 was captured on video rushing to grab Grande as Erivo shoved her as she rushed to protect her.
The man, later identified as Johnson Wen, attempted to jump over the barricade again before being subdued by security personnel. According to the BBC, Wen was sentenced to nine days in prison for the incident on Monday, November 17.
Prosecutors reportedly asked for a one-week prison sentence, even though under local law he could have been sentenced to up to three months in prison.
His social media profiles reveal that he previously rushed the stage at Katy Perry and Chainsmokers concerts before security intervened, and that he calls himself a “troll” on his Instagram profile.
