Several politicians are expected to attend former Vice President Dick Cheney’s funeral in the nation’s capital this week.

The longtime Republican politician died on November 3 at the age of 84 due to complications from pneumonia and cardiovascular disease, his family announced. The former vice president was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1941 and grew up in Wyoming, where he served in Congress before retiring.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, November 20th at the Washington National Cathedral, but it is unclear where he will be buried. The service will be streamed on USA TODAY’s YouTube channel.

As of Nov. 17, the Trump administration has not yet announced which officials will attend the funeral. The White House did not respond to requests for comment.

USA TODAY previously reported that Cheney became critical of President Donald Trump after the January 6, 2021, riot and said she would vote for former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

Which former presidents will attend Dick Cheney’s funeral?

Former President George W. Bush is scheduled to speak at the memorial. It is unclear whether any other former presidents will attend.

USA TODAY reached out to former Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden on Nov. 17, but did not immediately receive a response.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn, and two daughters, Mary and Liz.
