US LBM Coaches Poll: Texas A&M recommended for 2nd place

Week 12 of the 2025 college football season could be an opportunity to make some big changes to the College Football Playoff field.
Of the 25 teams ranked in the U.S. LBM Coaches Poll, 23 are scheduled to play games this weekend, including a total of two games in the SEC’s top 10 that could shake up the entire 12-team field. No. 4 Alabama (8-1, 6-0 SEC) will play No. 10 Oklahoma State (7-2, 3-2 SEC), and No. 5 Georgia (8-1, 6-1) will play No. 10 Texas (7-2, 4-1).
Another important matchup is No. 9 Notre Dame vs. No. 23 Pittsburgh, which is attracting enough attention that ESPN’s “College GameDay” is returning to Pittsburgh for the first time in 20 years.
As has been the case all season, any team could be on alert on Saturday. Penn State nearly defeated No. 2 Indiana last week, but No. 14 Vanderbilt avoided an upset by Auburn in overtime.
