Veterans Day hits hard for those affected by closures
The government shutdown appears to be easing, but it’s still having an impact on some veterans.
Texas Roadhouse is treating veterans for Veterans Day.
Veterans and active-duty U.S. military members alike can claim a giveaway that includes one of 10 meal options at restaurants nationwide from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
“Texas Roadhouse continues its annual Veterans Day tradition of allowing veterans and active-duty U.S. military members to enjoy a free meal,” the Louisville, Kentucky-based restaurant chain said in a statement.
Here’s how to get it:
What dining options are available with the voucher?
According to Texas Roadhouse, eligible customers will be able to choose one of 10 entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin and two sides made from the ingredients, and either a Coca-Cola product, sweet/iced tea or coffee.
Veterans or active duty U.S. military personnel may redeem their vouchers any time through May 31, 2026.
How to get meal tickets
Meal vouchers will be distributed from 11am to 2pm local time on Tuesday, November 11th. Proof of service is required to receive your prize, so be sure to bring your military ID, veteran card, or discharge papers.
