Are banks and post offices open on Election Day?
Interested in voting or running errands? Here’s what’s open on Election Day.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4th, and while most people’s main focus will be going to the polls and voting, many will also be running errands like going to the bank or dropping off a package at the post office.
Although this day is not a federal holiday, many people wonder if banks, post offices, and delivery services will be open and available to the general public.
Here’s what we know about what’s open and what’s closed on Election Day.
Will the post office be open on Election Day? Will my mail be delivered?
Because Election Day is not a federal holiday, U.S. post offices will remain open and mail will be delivered on Tuesday, November 4th.
Will delivery services like UPS or FedEx be available on Election Day?
yes. UPS and FedEx delivery services, including pickup and delivery, will be available on Election Day. UPS and FedEx stores will also be open on the same day.
FedEx and UPS say they will operate as usual on Election Day.
Are banks open on election day?
yes. Election Day is not a federal holiday, so banks will be open during regular business hours on Tuesday, November 4th.
Access to other banking services, such as ATMs and online banking, should be available as usual on Election Day.
