“Jurassic World: Rebirth” is one of the top movies on your favorite streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, and Amazon’s Prime Video. Some films, such as Orlando Bloom’s boxing drama, will be released theatrically in Japan for the first time, but don’t rest on the originals, such as the Netflix gambling movie starring Colin Farrell or the cinematic adaptation of “Hedda Gabler” starring Tessa Thompson.

Here are 10 hottest new movies you can stream right now.

“The Little Player’s Ballad”

Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell) gambles night after night in Macau in an attempt to live a luxurious life, but he continues to have bad luck. A casino employee (Fala Chen) provides financial and emotional support, and a private monitor (Tilda Swinton) hired by a European debtor comes on the phone, but in this neon-drenched thriller, Doyle may be too greedy for his own good.

“The Cut”

Ten years after missing his chance at stardom, an Irish boxer (Orlando Bloom) could earn a rematch with the reigning champion if he can make weight. He can lose 25 pounds in a week. The drama departs from the usual sports movie clichés and explores mental health and eating disorders with a mix of psychological horror.

“The hand that rocks the cradle”

It’s definitely a different, more down-to-earth take on the soapy 1992 original, which featured the deliciously delicious Rebecca De Mornay. This time, Maika Monroe plays a manipulative nanny who gets dragged into a family affair for a reason, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays the wife who is forced to deal with some shady shenanigans.

Where to watch: Hulu

“header”

In this period drama, the main character, played by Tessa Thompson, hosts a party in a new location to increase her influence and help her husband land an important professorship. Her ex-girlfriend (Nina Hoss) is his biggest competition and is also invited to the shindig. Thompson inspires a tortuous, sexy and deadly night that unfolds with dangerous charm.

Where to watch: prime video

“Dynamite House”

If you’re feeling anxious about the state of the world, Kathryn Bigelow’s political thriller isn’t necessarily uplifting. But this is an important watch, in the nerve-wracking film starring Idris Elba, Jared Harris and Rebecca Ferguson, in which government officials imagine a scenario in which they have 18 minutes until a nuclear missile hits the United States.

Where to watch: Netflix

“Jurassic World Rebirth”

The latest installment in the long-running Jurassic series tries something different by injecting a heist movie into the usual dangerous adventure. Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Oscar winner Mahershala Ali encounter a horde of mutated monsters on a mission to obtain dinosaur DNA for a shady businessman.

Where to watch: peacock

‘shell’

This is where “Substance” reruns come in, but at least this body horror satire has some star power. Elisabeth Moss plays a former sitcom star who loses too many jobs to younger actresses and comes under the influence of a powerful health guru (Kate Hudson), who begins to sense something sinister.

Where to watch: paramount+

“Sorry, baby.”

Eva Victor wrote, directed, and stars in this funny and moving drama, playing Agnes, a college literature professor who still struggles with the psychological effects years after being sexually assaulted by her teacher. Now working in her old office, Agnes survives panic attacks and memory triggers with the help of her best friend (Naomi Ackie) and her adorable gray cat.

Where to watch: HBO Max

“Stiller and Mehra: Nothing is Lost.”

Ben Stiller directs this loving documentary about his parents, Jerry Stiller and Ann Meara. Ben chronicles the careers of his father and mother, who, along with his sister Amy, formed as a hit comedy duo on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in the 1960s, while also delving into their personal lives and their conflicts off stage.

Where to watch: Apple TV+

‘weapons’

In this mystery-horror tale from The Barbarian director Zach Creger, a class of elementary school students goes missing one night, leaving their teacher (Julia Garner) an outcast, but there’s something seriously witchy at work. But really, Amy Madigan’s creepy Aunt Gladys alone is worth it.
