Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz reveal all about their 2025 Halloween costumes
Heidi Klum and husband Tom Kaulitz talk with USA TODAY’s Ralphie Aversa about her 2025 Halloween costume as Medusa and the man she turned to stone.
New York – Long live the Queen!
Supermodel, TV host and celebrity face of Halloween, Heidi Klum dazzled once again on Friday night.
The 52-year-old “Project Runway” star appeared as a scaly green Medusa at the annual “Heidi Vienna” party. Ms. Klum was joined by her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who dressed as a gray concrete statue holding a shield, turning his gaze to stone.
“I wanted to be really scared, and I think it worked,” Krumm told USA TODAY with Kaulitz. “We love a challenge because there are a lot of people doing Medusa, and I wanted to step it up a notch.”
As for Cowlitz, the Tokio Hotel guitarist gave rock a new meaning with his stone statue costume. Kaulitz said she and Klum “started today in the makeup chair at the same time.”
“We started at noon, so that’s good,” he continued with a laugh.
In an interview Thursday after setting the Empire State Building on fire, Klum teased that the couple would dress “within the same theme” again since they started dating in 2018. The couple, who married in 2019, appeared in different versions of the 2024 movie Alien E.T. When Klum donned her infamous worm costume in 2022, Kaulitz appeared alongside her as a fisherman.
“I always wanted to do Shrek with Fiona, but I never found a Shrek that I wanted to do with me,” Klum told USA TODAY of what ended up being her and Kaulitz’s 2018 costume. “And when I met my husband, he said, ‘Okay, I’m going to be Shrek.'”
Heidi Klum’s big Halloween tips and some amazing costume hacks
The Queen of Halloween has arrived! Ahead of her annual “Heidiween” party, model and TV host Heidi Klum shared her top Halloween tips with USA TODAY.
Klum said she looks forward to welcoming friends and family from around the world to Manhattan’s Hard Rock Hotel, the venue for this year’s party, the 24th annual event.
Klum said, “I want to see great costumes.” “We want to be inspired by what they’re wearing, and it’s amazing what people come up with.”
As for what she was hoping for Friday night, Klum quickly turned her attention back to her husband and said she hoped he still thought she was “hot.” When Kaulitz answered, “Absolutely,” Klum began elaborating.
“I hope so,” she said with a laugh.
“It’s a fun afterparty,” interjected Kaulitz.
